  • The Real Alchemist!

    The Real Alchemist!

Here is a story that could inspire you today…

Once there was a beggar who had no home, no car, not even sufficient food or education. He lived on whatever people could toss his way out of pity. He was tired of this struggle. He dreamed of being really rich, of having many millions one day..he spent a lot of time imagining himself to be rich and wealthy…And so with all the money he made begging, he also bought the lottery once a week to try his luck. And….one day he actually won the jackpot. He could not believe his luck, yes – he was a millionaire! It was all he had dreamed and imagined all the time… coming true finally. He bought a large house with a large car, the best designer clothes, went flying off to trips around the world, spent his days eating five star food and nights in drinking and partying in high profile clubs, living the high life..And then, within a few months he was back to having nothing. Yet he needed more…and more…to keep up his enormous appetite for all kinds of pleasures. He sold his house, went on rent again, until he had no money for even that, finally returning to where he began, homeless and poor, asking for money, benefits, charity…from others.

    clock-77497_960_720beggar-521398_960_720.jpg

Once again, he had no house, no car, not even sufficient food or education. He lived on whatever people could toss his way out of pity. He was tired of this struggle. Then, one day, he decided to meditate. He just sat there wherever he was and closed his eyes, breathing, till he felt calm and peaceful, till his thoughts had all gone. Meditation was free, required no conditions at all….it could be done anytime, anyplace, by anyone, in any situation….So he did it. First for a few minutes…then for half an hour a day, then for an hour…Slowly he did it for longer periods of time and more often, almost everyday…. Wow!  This was better than any food he had eaten….It was better than sex, better than drugs, better than drinking, gambling…infact this felt better than anything ever. He slowly conquered his hunger, his discomfort, his fears, his insecurities…he slowly conquered his pain and sorrow, his needs and wants…. He was light, free, blissful, peaceful…..and he did not even realize how many days had gone by…he did not even realize how many people had gathered around him. Some of the wealthiest people in the world came by just to be in his presence, just to take his inspiration, to learn and meditate with him. They were ready to offer him all their wealth in return of the secret of his infinite peace. Yet, all he did was meditate, without being distracted. And that is why he was richer than the richest person on earth! He had more to give than anyone ever, and needed nothing….he had everything! Others followed his example and found their own inner peace…slowly, bit by bit, the world began to heal.

Normally people think charity is all about giving money, food and basic necessities to others. We imagine the world’s problems will be solved if money was distributed amongst all those who are poor. But would this really work? Would those who are poor become rich after receiving money? Or would they be poor again after a few days of spending the money up? In contrast, spirituality is something that TRULY makes us rich, really really rich! Because true wealth is not measured by how much money and property you own, or by how much financial charity you give to the world. True wealth is deep within you. Its a fountain of endless treasure that money can never buy. Material charity is at best a temporary relief until the person discovers this fountain of endless wealth within.

You might think that learning to make money, learning to work and earn, to invest wisely, to attract success, to build more and more wealth is an alternate answer to the problem of poverty. Sure it is…Yet, what would happen if the economy crashes, if markets fall, if there is famine, war or any other calamity? And…is learning how to make or attract money sufficient? Will it bring peace and happiness to all? More importantly, why are we here in this existence? Are we merely here in the world to learn how to survive and be materially successful? Perhaps not. We are all here in this world, not just to learn how to be  materially successful, but to learn how to find pure inner joy, which is infact our ONLY true and natural state. A person who finds this inner gold, or inner diamond is richer than the richest person in the entire universe!

    It could be you!

Hope you enjoyed this story and felt inspired to be on the path that is true.

  • Seven Reasons for Being More Spiritual

Seven Reasons for Being More Spiritual

On one hand we have seen people who are purely materialistic and for whom the physical world observed through the five outer senses is all there is. Yet, on the other hand we have spiritualists who believe that the outer perceivable world is mere illusion while the truth is hidden within. In this internet driven corporate world, why should you try learning and practicing spirituality at all, when success is measured through the size of your material achievements? Well, it turns out that those who are purely material are prone to losing their health, wealth, happiness and success all too easily, while those who are spiritual seem to have blissful lives even with a modest lifestyle.

Here are 7 powerful ways that spirituality can transform our lives forever…in a way that materialism never can:

    pyramidlayers.jpg

    1. PROTECTING FROM THE NEGATIVE: At the base of it we all have to deal with our fears that manifest in the form of various negative situations and experiences around us. Spirituality teaches us that everything that happens on the outside has an inner cause, even those things that seem to be happening to us through others. Therefore if anything negative has been observed anywhere in our life, the source is most likely to be an inner fear that caused it. Release that fear and replace it with trust…that’s the way to peace. Being spiritual helps us by transforming our fears into love because we know that everything has its source deep within us. This way no matter how much the negativity that surround us we know that if we find peace within we shall be  just fine.
    2. ATTRACT POSITIVE EXPERIENCES: Just as we know that fears caused our sorrows, we know that positive thoughts and emotions will bring us positive experiences with equal certainty. Spiritual secrets can surely help bring us more abundance, real love, lasting peace, joy and success in anything that is positive for our whole self. The moment we shift our focus to inner peace and start feeling better it begins to create all good things that our soul truly desires us to have. We might find that we are effortlessly attracting a better quality of friends, relationships, opportunities and situations than ever before and we accept them with open arms.
    3. PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT: It is ignorance that makes us feel vulnerable, pitiable, sad, hurt or victimized. A spiritually aware and enlightened soul knows that every moment there is infinite energy within at all times. The awareness of what lies within us expands our inner power to the extent that we can help ourselves anytime. Whether it is our physical or monetary health, career or personal goals, there is less of dependency on others and more self-reliance. We know that an inner switch can change everything for the better and that we can manifest our life with our own choices at any point of time as we keep brimming with limitless positive energy.
    4. DEEPER HEALING: Spiritual energy connects our mind, body and soul together seamlessly as we know that everything is ultimately woven with threads of spiritual energy alone. Since this positive energy is the source of all there is its enhanced flow can heal everything at every level of our being. The moment we shift our focus to the spiritual through meditative state, an enhanced flow of spiritual energy is triggered and staying in this peaceful radiant state continues healing us from inside out. From physical to social life, from home to all of earth, spiritual healing helps everything and everyone in a tremendous way.
    5. AWARENESS: Learning the truth and sharing the truth that we have learnt help us in expanding our consciousness and that of the universe. The remarkable fact is that as our consciousness expands it helps in expanding the consciousness of everything around us too. This consciousness when awakened is the power that transforms the entire world for the better. Whether through books or discourses, workshops or seminars, we know that amazingly wise teachers and masters will find us eventually and we will be equally enlightened provided we follow and practice what we have learnt with total dedication.
    6. SIDDHIS: Once we attain a higher state of consciousness and learn more about who we are, it increases our magickal and psychic powers in several ways. Through spiritual practice and inner focus we awaken our natural yet latent superpowers that are a necessary part of our spiritual awakening. We not only realize but actualize our multi-dimensional, infinite nature. In time we know that there is absolutely nothing that can be called impossible because we become masters of the illusion of life, rising above all of it. We are no longer limited by anything around us and ready for the next level of awakening.
    7. MOKSHA: The highest possible reason for being spiritual is that it sets you free from all illusion. Contrary to what you might have been told before, relinquishing desire may not lead to liberation but to deeper blockage or repression. The right way to be liberated from all desires is to find a deeper contentment. At this greater level of spiritual progress there is little else that you would seek. Imagine that you could have just about anything in the world right now…yet you feel that you have everything already…in-fact in a very real way, you know that you already ARE everything. With nothing more to want or seek, nothing left to crave for, you are ready to be permanently liberated from the illusory nature of the world process and be one with your ultimate truth.

  • God, Goddess and We

    God, Goddess and We

    Who is God…

    Who is Goddess…

    Who am I …

    Who are We…

In this world full of religions we need to respect all beliefs, whether monotheistic or polytheistic, atheistic or any other.

In monotheism we find one supreme God who claims that we should not worship anyone else but ‘HIM’ who is perfect in every self-declared way. In polytheism we find all kinds of gods and goddesses…Gods who fall in love ….gods who are sacrificed and die…gods who are reborn…goddesses who are vain…gods who hunt…gods who suffer in pain….goddesses who learn lessons…gods who are exiled…goddesses who burn….goddesses who to earth return. Gods and goddesses going through life, death and rebirths… just like us.

To me monotheism and polytheism are both valid. To me there is one God or Goddess, whatever you call the highest power, and it has several forms too at the same time, all different and similar too in many ways across time and space.

We are all realizing that true unity is possible only with diversity, when no longer does one culture dominate or oppress others. That is why it is so important to see God or Goddess, our own higher self in its many infinite forms and not just as one rigid personality.

When we speak of a God or Goddess who is supreme we no longer refer to one of the limited forms of god as supreme such as some religions had asserted. Instead…what we refer to is the Universe, ever expanding, diverse, set of our experiences of life that are essentially self-created and not at all separate from us.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ‘Aham Brahmasmi… Tat Tvam Asi’
    So basically, I am the Universe …(and by the way) ..you are too…
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yes, the gods and goddesses are we all…. living, learning, suffering and liberating themselves in cycles of being and transforming, changing and growing eternally to every higher states of becoming. Each person, animal, plant, thing, particle or wave…anything that has ever been, anything that is and will ever be…is totally and perfectly divine. We are all several gods and goddesses and One at the same time, all at various stages of self-awareness and self-acceptance.  We are the God, the Goddess and we are gods and goddesses…whatever you want to call  this energy or this supreme being in its many multiple avatars and forms…collectively as well as individually.

When we are unaware of this truth we carry within us we behave less than perfect, yet the inner part of us..our essence is divine always. In every being…no matter how big or small, how ‘good’ or ‘bad’ or even ‘evil’. And the mystery within all of us is so amazingly, and beautifully divine, its a shame that all of us could not recognize it yet.

Imagine a world where every person recognized his or her own inherent divinity.

Just imagine! (and it will be so)

This would be a world free of all evil. A world with so much light, love and happiness…that it will be impossible to even think or imagine anything negative.

Does this sound scary to some of us?

If yes, then it is only our own real Self that we fear.

‘Let go of the fear…. Embrace our inner truth.’ says the voice within. (Can you hear it now?)

So imagine (this time without fear) …a world where we are now at peace…where forgiving each other is absolutely effortless in the realization that we all are just our own projections. When there is supreme bliss in knowing that all that happens in life is just our own subconscious projecting itself.

    Peace. Real peace.

Yet we forgot who we are. We imagined our souls to be limited…as ego…as our physical form, or as a string of lifetimes that began ‘somewhere’ tracing our past lives as those few memories from here or there which we picked up again during our past life regression sessions. We thought I was ‘me’ and you were ‘you’ separate, distinct, different people…

Oh come on and remember yourself…all the way…through and through. …not just as a soul with a few past life memories, but as the infinite soul…the soul which is all there is.

    So, now…who are you?

When and how did you start, if ever …and when and how will you end?

Someone had once asked…’What is the difference between a dream and reality?…isn’t it just that in a dream you cannot remember how you got there.’

Is our existence any different than a dream if we cannot remember how we got here in the universe in the first place…how the universe (we) got here in the first place…and which ‘here’???…exactly where is this universe? Will science have the answers (ever!) …maybe, maybe not, maybe spirituality does…but where is the proof?

For everything that has a beginning has an end. And you (I) have neither.

Spiritually speaking…it is said that we are all the creation of Brahma who happens to be just a character in a recurring dream emerging from the navel of the consciousness called God who is an aspect of the energy called Goddess that is very simply all there is.

So then Aham Brahmasmi means… I am merely a dream of the divine…and so are you (by the way).

What about the divine me, you, everything…??

Yet the dream is no separate from the dreamer, than your thoughts are from you. Just because the world, you and I are a dream…still… Aham Brahmasmi, Tat Tvam Asi – I am divine and you are too…

Hope we remember it from now onward in each moment of this lucid dream of our life that we call the universe.

    Blessed Be!

  • Real Spirituality – Beyond Godmen and Godwomen

Real Spirituality – Beyond Godmen and Godwomen

Recently in India there was a major controversy around ‘Radhe Guru Maa’ who seems to be in the news for wearing a little red dress among other reasons including charges of promoting dowry demands in a family. Earlier there were controversies around rape on gurus such as Asaram Bapu and so called ‘tantriks or aghoris’ who sometimes resorted to bizarre advise including harmful acts to make their clients get what they want (although it is common sense that negative acts will only give negative results). In all parts of the world there have been reports of clerics of churches and mosques accused of negative acts including child abuse and molestation.

Controversies surrounding Godwomen and Godmen of various religions are here to teach us some important lessons. As majority of our people flock in large herds to seek blessings from temples, idols, churches, priests, matas and babas, the real ‘God’ is quite misunderstood. It is time we stopped imagining God as an entity to be worshiped through places, things and people around us, and start understanding God as our inner truth to which we can anytime connect through our own spiritual effort.

In India being a spiritual guru has been all about dressing in a Hindu garb and having a mass of devotees around. Men dominated the spiritual scene for the majority and women have been held holy only if they could be seen as a ‘Maa’ or a mother figure. There is also a belief that spiritual people are to renounce all material wealth, dress in white or saffron robes and not generally be successful. Let us be honest with ourselves and not expect any person, no matter how spiritual to be somewhat ‘holier than thou’ and give up living itself. There is absolutely nothing wrong if they use wealth in the right ways to spread positive energy or if they get remunerated fairly or dress well. And there is nothing wrong if spiritual gurus are ordinary people living regular lives as women or men having normal families and relationships.

Spiritual gurus are guides are just here to give their own teachings but it is up-to the public to evaluate their knowledge, their wisdom and their advice as per the needs of society. Check whether they are propagating the right values. Holy robes and vestments do not make a person spiritual. People should understand that spiritual gurus are supposed to guide us to the right and truthful path – of better thoughts, positive actions and good karma rather than following negative spiritual role models.

We need spiritual gurus who are down to earth and who guide people towards their inner truth. Today what we need as a society are ordinary people who are more aware, more enlightened, connected with the inner self and those who know how to not merely follow the crowd but follow their own intuition. The onus lies on people.

If we really want a society free of fraudulent spiritualists then it is time we recognize those who are truly spiritual. To separate the truth from falsehood requires discernment. Instead of looking outside for guidance, we need to learn how to awaken our own inner power to choose our destiny. That’s the real meaning of witchcraft – the way to create our own life through right thoughts and actions.

Let us not blame others but look within. God or Goddess, or whatever name you give to the universe, is not and can never be something found outside. It is our own inner consciousness that requires awakening – let this be the time for our own awakening.

Let us discover our own inner power. We create our life through our own beliefs, we need to be released from our inner ignorance, we need to overcome our baseless fears, we need to learn to love and be happier people. We need to connect with nature and see each stone, herb and animal as divine. We need to respect men and women as equally divine. We need to love our-self as divine. Do not look for an outer God but look within and find your inner power to heal yourself. That is the real meaning of spirituality.

  • Are You Still Looking for a Soulmate?

Are You Still Looking for a Soulmate?

Facebook is our new world, social media replaces railway and telecom networks as our new lifelines..everyone seems to be saying everything over twitter all the time. The lines between friends, followers and public are blurred. But as we try posting our thoughts and updates to the world, who are we talking to? Others or our-self?

What if there was no-one else really out there…no friends, no followers, no lovers, no soulmates, no twin-flame, and no world ..

If spirituality is an inner-journey, why do you need outer lovers anyway?

What if this world is all an illusion…and all the people we know mere characters of a dream. Are we living in a dream world of our own creation? If duality is illusion and non-duality the truth, then infinity is just a distorted zero…and the masses of people are all mere projections of the illusory mind.

Think about it – what exactly is impossible? Have you ever tried controlling the weather with your mind? Ever tried living without food or water? Can people have the powers to move things with their thoughts? Can all wishes come true if we believe? Can you think of someone and make them visit you? Is everything indeed Magick? Yes, I have tried all of these and so I believe.

Do you feel there are any features of the world that cannot adjust with the mind? What if the world was indeed a mental projection and silence the only truth? How would you feel about family, friends, wealth, sex, food, movies, celebrities, media…

What if we were all indeed free of illusion?

No more hunger. No more anger.

No more disease. No-one to please.

No more desire. No need for power.

No more struggle. Nothing to figure.

No problem or solution. Only dissolution.

There is nothing to know, not even the know-er.

Nothing to lose and nothing to find.

Nothing at all, for there is no-mind.

Real love is indeed found when there is no-one to love anywhere around.

    Blessed be!

  • What If We Were Natural People?

What If We Were Natural People?

While I was in the kitchen today I had this thought – have we humans not gone a little too far from our original natural self. Look at our food for instance. How much of what we eat is pure and natural, and how much is ‘spoiled’ by boiling, frying, grilling, fermenting, baking, roasting and spicing. Yes, I said ‘spoiled’, because I was never so excited about eating cooked food as I was to eat fresh fruits and crisp, raw, juicy veggies. In my opinion cooking is absolutely unessential and destroys the vital healing qualities that nature provides. Yet having family and friends, I have come to understand that people prefer cooked food to raw food in general – thanks to centuries of genetic and cultural conditioning that I cannot just shake out of their rigid neural cells.

From the time we were animals to now, there is so much change that we have even forgotten that we are biologically animals too. We tend to regard nature as something separate or distinct from us and ourselves as a specie quite unlike any other in nature – even superior as such to the ‘lower’ forms of life.

Our clothes, our vehicles, our makeup is in stark contrast to the rest of nature, all naked, and all beautiful in its own amazing way. Amidst plants and animals, the vast blue sky, the endless stars and green-brown earth, I feel that I would rather admire nature than my own human self in the mirror. How can our limited and grossly artificial humanness compare to the infinite glory of the universe after-all?

Think about it – are we indeed superior or have we made ourselves more inferior to the rest of nature through our ‘progress’ and civilisation?

    – Plants can manufacture food by just being still and channeling the energy from the five basic elements directly, sun for fire, rain for water, minerals for earth, oxygen for air and their own inner silence as the spirit that helps them exist and survive with such elegance and peace. Are they struggling and fighting for land, minerals and food? Are they crying and blaming others for their woes of hunger and disease like the majority of humans? They probably know and sense a lot more than us, by the way they move and shape their growth around rocks and other hindrances, the way they respond to light or darkness and the way they react to environmental changes. Watch how their ‘limbs’ grow back so soon and even healthier if they are cut, trimmed or injured and see how they easily offer their ripe fruits to be eaten by animals like us, in the hope that we scatter the seeds and let them propagate in new places. I am in awe of plants and I don’t think any animal can ever be superior to their amazing power, their healing skills and their calm, giving and gentle nature.

    – Animals are provided so much by nature – they are effortlessly clothed and dressed as per the climate of their native lands. They have fur and wool to keep them warm in winter and cold regions, that gets shed automatically if the climate turns warm. There is tough skin on animals that rough it out in the jungles and deserts, almost like a natural armor. They have stripes for camouflage or stick like limbs on insects to prevent their extinction, and much more. Many have night-vision and extra sensory powers that go far beyond human senses to help them in every way. They do not require expensive hospitals to help them give birth to their little ones, they do it themselves and go searching for food soon after. The animal kingdom has many amazing qualities that nature has so lovingly bestowed upon them, to protect and care for them in every way. There is no creature that is not loved by nature unconditionally. And they love and trust nature so perfectly and wisely.

What if we humans were all natural too, using our natural teeth to munch natural fresh and wholesome fruits and allowing our bodies to adapt to the climate without the need for artificially crafted garments. What if we tried walking instead of using our cars to transport our lazy bodies in every little journey? Would we let nature give us real wings instead of large metal planes to help us travel long distances and how do we know this would not have happened if we had in-fact let it happen and let nature take its own course? What if we tried living amidst nature instead of high-rise flats, using our relaxed intuition instead of exhausting our limited brains to sort life out, and allowing our natural instincts to guide us everyday instead of gadgets and internet all the time. How would we look and what would life be like?

Will we have nuclear wars or real estate inflation? Will we have the need to struggle and work hard to earn a living only to be a slave to money? Will we pay endless bills and live day after day in our computerized routines so that we can some day buy a expensive designer bag and a matchbox apartment in a heavily polluted city to feel so proud? Or will we breathe fresh air and drink spring water to be happy as we are, allowing change as per nature desires, growing and spreading where our natural resources permit and limiting ourselves as per nature’s laws. Will we be content and satisfied with what we have or be trapped in our endless struggles to satisfy our corporate desires that consumerism has programmed so deeply into our brains. Will we have religions that teach us that God is far away, nature is inferior and we exist to rule over others in the name of this demonic God who tells us to kill? Or will we be a bit more sensible and share our love as children of our mother nature who gives us everything indeed if we are at peace, if we trust and if we let go?

    What do you think?

  • Beware of Spiritual Couching!

    Beware of Spiritual Couching!

A few years ago someone I knew was promoting himself as a spiritual coach. Inadvertently the word that he typed on his profile was ‘spiritual couching’ instead of spiritual coaching. Its funny how these ‘Freudian slips’ can be very revealing. Something deep from our unconscious knows how to communicate and express itself through meaningful coincidences even through mistypes and miscommunication.

Yes, we all need to reflect on this – all thanks to my acquaintance who made this slip and taught us a valuable lesson. Are we in the danger of becoming ‘spiritual couches’ who are passive livers than active spiritualists? Do we misunderstand and misinterpret much of our ‘spiritual’ new age gurus’ teachings are many of these teachings true in the first place? Read on to know what all ‘is’ and is not being spiritual in this ‘new age’ world.

Myth: Being Effortless = Being Lazy.

Truth: Relax, receive and effortlessly attract, these new age principles do not mean we should be ‘couch potatoes’ just sitting and waiting for the apple to drop right into our mouth. Yes we receive the fruits of our karma effortlessly when the time is ‘ripe’ but hey – don’t forget to sow the seeds and water them. When the fruit is ripe it will fall down on its own, for sure. But go and prepare your soil first, get your tools out, dig and delve, sow and grow, nourish, be patient – it takes effort. Some karma is required for us so invest into your life and surely the returns will flow back to you. All the ‘effortless’ things you have received in the present life are your past life fruits ripening up now. Being ready to receive has helped. New age spirituality helps you be more ‘ready’ and receive your fruits, but do not mistake this receptivity state for being lazy and dull.

Myth: The Universe is Within = We should be self centered/ selfish.

Truth: The definition of within needs to change. Who are you? Know thyself. The Universe is within means expand your consciousness – you are not just your limited lower self, your body, your material possessions, your limited mind. Make your mind more unlimited and see how everything in the universe is part of your Self. The universe is within this greater ‘Self’ not in your narrow and contrived notions of your selfishness. To be selfish is to love only your limited self or your lower self. To be self loving is quite a different approach. It means to love everything and everyone including yourself. It means being aware that love is not something very limited that can be either given to yourself or to others, but an endless energy flowing to all in ever increasing amounts. Be generous and expand yourself- reach out and love everything and everyone as part of you.

Myth: The Secret and Law of Attraction = Pursue Material Goals All The Time

Truth: So you have read all these new age books and they seem to tell you that the universe exists to serve your lower needs of food, sex, shopping, diamonds, fashion and beauty? Just tell me one thing. Do you ever meditate and is there any substitute to your inner peace? Can any amount of food, sex, glamour and money buy you peace? No, you do not exist merely to accumulate and gather material comforts. Having money and things is simply not a state of true abundance. Being spiritual is all about being aware of your spirit nature, your real self, at all times. There will actually come a point when you will no longer ‘hunger’ for anything, ‘crave’ for anything, be ‘needy’ for anything. Being content is possible – make that you.

Myth: Being Positive = Thinking Positive (Doing good is secondary)

Truth: There is so much hype created around positive thinking that the worst of criminals have been projecting themselves as spiritual people. Some ‘spiritual’ people actually believed that they could get away with anything and everything by just thinking positive and imagining all kind of good things happening to them right now even while indulging in negative activities on the side. The truth is you simply cannot delete or cancel out your negativity just through superficial thoughts. Being positive right now is a great thing and this includes positive actions. You need to transform all over – mind, body and soul. You need to start doing only positive things else it will be very difficult for your inner or unconscious mind to believe that you are a good person and you deserve good. Our unconscious mind is way beyond our conscious thoughts and affirmations. We have to change the way we live into something phenomenally positive in order to be truly positive.

Myth: Joy and Bliss = Drunkenness

Truth: Being in a state of spiritual bliss is very different from the ‘trance’ you induce through drunken dancing, substance abuse and lewd sexual performances. ‘New-agers’ reveling in pagan rituals that focus on excessive enjoyment do feel great for the short run but the effects wear off. A real ritual should empower you and shift your consciousness so deeply that you never need any drugs, alcohol and sexuality to stimulate yourself ‘spiritually’. Real paganism is about being in tune with nature through our inner meditative state, not just an external but an inner connection that is expressed outwards in such beautiful ways that even a child can feel safe in your rituals. Truly children require no drugs to dance, play and be merry – so why should we? Be in tune with you inner child and give yourself only those things you know are good for the child within. Be in a natural state of deep inner bliss.

  • The Guru Principle

    The Guru Principle

    Who is Guru?
A pundit who makes predictions and performs poojas?
A teacher who gives knowledge to disciples?
    A planet called jupiter?

A guru is the true teacher, the higher self. Its that part of us which is timeless wisdom.
When we are ready and willing for spiritual illumination, the guru appears in a form we can relate to. A teacher, a friend, a close companion, a dream, a message, an animal, a book or simply silence. The guru teaches. But only we can learn. The guru cannot do that for us.
No matter how many gurus you have, you may not really learn unless you ALLOW the learning to happen.
This is not bookish knowledge we are talking of.
This requires application of wisdom in life and after.
This means letting go of past conditioning.
    This requires focus and practice.
This means you must listen and stop talking…to others, to yourself, and listen to SILENCE.
This requires opening up to your infinite potential.
This requires dedicating yourself to finding your purpose and then to staying true to the same.
    This requires character, values, principles.
This requires giving yourself to the higher self without holding on to attachments.
    This is being selfless.
This requires you to serve the higher self alone.
    This is surrender and receptivity.
    This is liberation.
    Blessed full moon.

  • The Truth about Spirituality

    The Truth about Spirituality

Some people discovered what they thought was meditation…being quiet, passive, closed, sleepy or dull
They spent hours, days and years in this depressing state …imagining it to be the real thing
Escaping from the daily challenges of life, from life itself…wanting to be free
Some others found spirituality to be an excuse for careless, irresponsible or mindless behavior, even unethical in the extreme, Or an excuse to falsely justify negativity as a necessary part of balance and acceptance
They couldn’t be further from the truth
All the above is dullness, ignorance, negative energy or tamas
Spirituality is bright, aware, positive vibration
Its neither about mindlessness or losing your mind
Its about guiding your mind with something higher or ‘no mind’ which helps in being incharge of your mind, rising above it and not letting your mind be your block
Its about having no negative, stuck-up energies any more
Being free and flowing in a positive direction
Guided by the truth, love, universal good or divine light
    Truly liberated, free of falsehood
When it becomes impossible for you to harm anyone or yourself
When you can no longer be corrupted or misled
When you are not passive, lethargic, inert or powerless anymore
When you use your power to create good, to destroy ignorance or evil
And to maintain balance and peace, both inner and outer
To utilise your time on earth purposefully
Being of some good use to yourself and the universe
That is sattvic life or spiritual living
Now that is what I call Magick!

  • Being Spiritual

    Being Spiritual

So many people speak of being spiritual these days.
Many like being called spiritual, not religious…(as if religion were a four letter word that has done no good…but Gawd, wasn’t this is the way it was experienced until the new age of Wicca, a spiritual scientific religion…but that’s besides the point)

The point is…what is being spiritual all about?
Is it about saffron robes, hooded capes, turbans, hats and other fancy dress?
Is it about being men with long grey hair on their chins and heads and large imposing decorations on the forehead?
Is it about sitting in tight postures and closed eyes for an hour or two?
Is it about chanting in sanskrit, greek or latin, especially in the middle of perfectly ordinary conversations?
(All of which I admit will make quite an instant impression in public and may even get a few to come over and touch your feet…and secretly many of our holy men owe their sudden and humungous popularity more to this drama and less to their teachings)

Now what is the meaning of being spiritual (and not just showing it)?

Firstly the word ‘spiritual’ is composed of spirit, which means it has to do something with our inner self. But in that case we all have this spirit within…right. Quite right, however not everyone was so far equally bothered about the spirit within us all…which largely differentiates being spiritual from being purely material in our awareness and behaviour.

We are born when spirit takes material or physical form through us and our surroundings. Hence from ever since we are born we are taught in our schools, colleges and nurseries, very vaguely, about how to conduct ourselves in the material world (even if focused mainly on theory than practice). Its another thing that we also learn through people and experiences over and above our school curricula, a whole lot of things I would rather put very ironically in the category of how NOT to conduct our life in the material world. But yes most of us are somewhat aware of our material body and surroundings, even if we are not quite adept at handling them very well.

But the fact that we are made of spirit in essence was revealed rather late to most people if revealed at all. And even if this were revealed, the first (or even second or third or fourth) reaction to this was…why should it matter? Yes spirit is not matter, but that doesnt mean that it doesnt matter. The interelationship of spirit and matter is of importance here.

Now Spirit (and I am not talking of our personal spirits or lost spirits but of Spirit) or Goddess or God if you prefer,  has created our matter or material life as quite beautiful and positive. It is through non awareness and mis-understanding of Spirit that we have abused, spoilt or eroded our material world. By getting in touch with the Spirit we can once again restore a loving balance and harmony in our lives and surroundings (and also heal our own little lost spirits or souls which expand and feel complete on integration with the Spirit).

Learn how to get in touch with the Spirit (even if you call it by another name such as Source, Universe, Goddess, God) through the right ways of meditation. And …also equally importantly, learn how to bring the beauty and wisdom of the Spirit into your daily existence by way of energy healing spells that channel the Spirit energy into the material world in accordance with the motto of As Above, So Below, or as Inside so Outside, or as With In so With Out.
