Rare Planetary Alignment this Feb: Magickal Advise for the remaining Year

A rare planetary parade is expected with visibility of many planets this month specifically by 28th February, brining the significance of planets back into focus. But what does the placement of planets or Sun and Moon and their movements and eclipses mean to you?

Most people look to western astrology for answers of what each month or year will bring. But did you know that the placement of celestial bodies through the zodiac bands in the sky vary quite a bit as per western and Vedic astrological calculations? In short western calculations and sun signs or star sign reports are highly inaccurate because the actual position of planets in the sky is more in line with sidereal astrology owing to a correction based on the precession of the equinoxes over the centuries, although western astrologers use the outdated ephemeris erroneously.

If you go as per ancient Vedic Astrology, the analysis of moon and other bodies would be much more a reflection of the actual position of the same as viewed from earth astronomically. Based on Vedic transits of the Moon and other celestial bodies, I have prepared a list of celestial events of magical significance as outlined below along with a brief overview explained on the next page to help you manifest a better reality and banish unwanted energy.

March 14th full worm moon is introspective in Virgo with focus on self reflection and a super new moon on 29th March in Pisces conjunct with a partial Solar Eclipse as well as a Saturn’s transit into Pisces making for cautious new starts by the end of the spring month especially in matters of heart and soul.

Summer starts with a full micro Flower Moon in Scorpio for sensuality and occult powers on 12th May and planning for stability and financial luck on the new moon in Taurus on May 26th .

From 4th May up until 14th October, Pluto seems to go retrograde in Capricorn with delays in finance and investment decisions.

7th September’s Corn Moon in Aquarius helps in letting go of resistance to change as the harvest season begins with a Total Eclipse of the moon.

On 6th September Uranus goes retrograde in Taurus affecting business and economy adversely.

On 18th October Jupiter enters Cancer making wisdom support intuition even more.

Mabon’s New Moon in Virgo on 21st September coincides with a partial Solar Eclipse in the same sign to advise comfort in solitude and protecting your home and peace of mind.

The Beaver Super Moon in Aries on 5th November is excellent for courage in taking on new projects with enthusiasm.

11th November to 5th December Jupiter goes retrograde making past matters interfere with good judgement.

Mercury is retrograde too from 9th to 29th Nov in Scorpio, signifying emotional upsets and the need for protection from harm especially in journeys and in communication.

20th November’s Scorpio Micro New Moon is good for reducing any damage and banishing enemies.

A Cold Super Full Moon in Taurus on 4th December helps you slow down and splurge on yourself and loved ones in preparing for winter months. Another Scorpio New Moon on 20th December helps in clearing away any obstacles and releasing the old as the year wanes.

  • 2024 Full Moons, a Special Black Moon, and Accurate Positions of Planets in Vedic Astrology by Swati Prakash

2024 Full Moons, a Special Black Moon, and Accurate Positions of Planets in Vedic Astrology by Swati Prakash

Is the Wolf Moon (January’s Full Moon) in Leo as stated by Western Astrologers? Or is it in Cancer (Karka Rashi) as per Vedic Astrology of India?

You will be surprised to know that Western Astrologers, Tarot Readers and Media keep posting inaccurate positions of the stars. Their ephemeris is inaccurate or misaligned by the actual sky (astronomy) by appx. 24 degrees. Vedic Astrology being sidereal (based on actual position of celestial bodies and zodiacs) is comparatively more accurate in these calculations.

This full moon of January is a great time for introspection and intuition being in Cancer, and amazing for Tarot, third-eye or psychic work, healing meditation, self-reflection, home improvements, family time, motherhood, kindness, compassion, and self-care. Light beautiful white candles and gaze into the flame for some time and close your eyes gently to meditate soon after in order to develop your third eye today. Gaze into a Selenite crystal ball for maximum third eye activation and to enhance your intuitive and psychic perceptions. You might have a calling to learn more Tarot and Divination this year. Courses are now once again available online on my website http://www.askswati.com

Mercury retrogrades that affect communication and travel plans and might reverse them, are in August from 5th to 28th, and then in the first half of December from 2nd to 15th.

Also did you know there is a rare Black Moon (Second New Moon of the month) in Sagittarius on the 30th of November? While Blue Moons are the second full moon of a month happening once in 2.5 years appx, Black moon’s are the second new moons similarly and represent new beginnings and an opportunity to make amends, erase the past, and start afresh. The Black Moon in Sagittarius on 30th of November helps you point your quiver of arrows in an additional, perhaps a secret direction of new starts, adventures, activism, travel, relocation, and activities that take you somewhere new. For example a new source of revenue, a secret investment in a new location, a new hobby that is more daring, a chance to say goodbye to anything that you need to close in order to begin on a new blank canvas. Simply light black candles to say goodbye to unwanted energy and make way for new light.

The following is the list of celestial movements in Vedic Astrological schedule and its possible impacts as per AskSwati.com (Kindly Note: In order to receive predictions specific to your life, I would need to look at your birth-chart first based on your date, time, and place of birth as Vedic astrology looks at accuracy and predicts your path based on every house in your natal chart, and the impact of the transits on your natal chart for each area of your life sequentially. I also need to see which planets are already there in each house or sign and the impact of the same based on their chemistry with each other.)

    Transits 2024

Rahu/ Ketu – Remain in Pisces and Virgo respectively throughout the year.

Rahu is the name of the mystical north node of the moon (intersection of orbit with earth’s), while Ketu is the name of the south node. They are picturised or imagined as a mythical dragon with Rahu as the head, the seeker of wishes and desires, hungry to satisfy the wild side, while Ketu represents the tail of the dragon, where you let go and end the seeking or quest. Rahu in Pisces indicates that we are more likely to feel a pull in the mystical and emotional dimensions of life, towards secrets and the hidden aspects of life. We would find more peace through the practical and mundane realities of life where we settle down.

Saturn – Remains in Aquarius throughout the year with no transits.

Saturn in Aquarius is powerful in its own house which it rules. A planet of challenges, hardships and tough lessons it also delivers strength and courage to fight battles, especially legal ones, a sense of justice or judgement and a rational approach that is clear and categorical and makes no exceptions whatsoever. A strict nature of Saturn in Aquarius is good for civil services, politics, law, clear decisions, fitness routines, rationality, scientific temperament and logical discernment. This also means your dreams may come true with some discipline of mind. The exact impact on your life depends on which house is represented by Aquarius in your vedic ‘kundali’ or natal chart. For instance those whose 6th house is Aquarius might have a better chance of losing weight by visiting the gym and are likely to stick to this schedule. In the 7th house it impacts your relationships by delaying prospects that are incompatible, and protecting your from harm so that your partnerships are only with the right people.

Jupiter – Begins this year with Aries and transits quietly on the 1st of May into Taurus. This is a planet of success, good fortune, expansive ideas, optimism, and compassionate gurus or mentors who can help you learn with a gentle attitude, as contrasting with Saturn who is the tough teacher or taskmaster who can judge you. In the first half of the year up till April end, most of us feel slightly positive vibrations in overall luck as Jupiter is in a friend’s sign as Aries is ruled by Mars. Transitioning to the sign of Taurus that is ruled by Venus can bring a few upsets from May onwards in some plans, based on what house Taurus represents in your Vedic birth-chart or kundali. However being an overall beneficial planet or benevolent as a whole Jupiter will not always bring terrible repercussions in most aspects of life. Overall for the planet it can imply changes and shifts in the earth’s climate and perhaps even the stock market, and perhaps a lack of proper action as our policies get relaxed and lose effectiveness.

Pluto – Remains in Capricorn throughout the year. This celestial body although demoted from a recognised planet, is volatile in terms of business and investments as it carries a sense of economic transformations, and risks as seen before for a few years now since 2008.

Neptune – Remains in Pisces continuing mysticism in the air and perhaps a gullible romance for love fools who are sentimental, soft hearted, and compassionate. A sense of environment, justice for animals, and talks of peace would continue on however unheard.

Uranus – A major shift is in Uranus too this year, as it transits from Aries to Taurus on the 1st of June bringing a wandering spirit to some stability with major decisions and peace for most of us. Unrest or troubled political scenarios or strife might end temporarily in June. However Uranus returns to Aries retrograde bringing past issues back on the 13th of December before year end.

There are two solar eclipses in Pisces on the 9th April, and Virgo on the 2nd October, respectively. Solar eclipses reveal a sense of shadows in otherwise optimistic matters based on what Pisces represents in your birth-chart or Kundali, and might represent debts or misfortune in matters in April. In October it can indicate indecisions and lack of practical opportunities or a difficulty in ethics and trust when it comes to people. Eclipses are not always visible in every geographical region.

Lunar eclipses always occur on certain full moons and this year are on 25th March in Virgo and 17th September in Aquarius. They may cause sorrows and emotional upsets for most people, especially in terms of what Virgo and Aquarius represent in your chart but overall representing loss of practical focus and achievements in the full moon of March or confusions in thinking in September’s full moon. It need not always be negative as it can be transformed through meditation and calmness on those days.

Mars represents movements in ambitions, seeking of passion, power, real estate, and sales. Venus represents your creative and sensual nature, and a capacity to give birth to ideas, crafts, decorate, heal, and develop your special artistic talents or beauty. I know its called AskSwati.com, but even before a Question is asked my tarot cards and the Vedic astro birthchart usually tell me their question, and this has happened each time for so many years of my life. Each time they arrive in a meeting booked by them, they might say,

“You’ve hit the nail on the head.”

    “It’s exactly my question.”

That’s what I wanted to ask really but how did you know?”

Throught the time they talk to me every card picks up the image of what they are going through and the exact healing they need is always channelled by me, with the spirit guiding me on which cards and healing method to use. Its unsurprising because it is deserved by them.

The people who I help are brilliant and amazing because they know that they will only attract the best possible healing that the universe can give.

  • God is a Fool

    God is a Fool

I’ve got the feeling there’s nothing to feel

All I know for real is that nothing is real

I woke up again to find myself asleep

The world was a hollow-gram in a void deep

I was dreaming the dream that they called universe

Both seen and unseen, the heard and unheard

The people, and places, all creatures and things

Subconscious and conscious, my mind’s own off-springs

All mere characters in this dream that I see

Yes, all of you people, including this me

All playing their roles in this great pantomime

Not knowing the meaning of life, space or time

Searching for reasons and great explanations

Through science and religion, both myths of creation

For the end of knowledge and the point of beginning

The right ways of dying, the right ways of living

Yet just the same being in each incarnation

In every person, each planet, each nation

Was dreaming these dreams in each dream of one night

Still waiting and sleeping until morning light

As I try to wake up from this grand illusion

This Fool is no longer in love with delusion

The hero was zero and always will be

Twisting and dancing as loop infinity

Awake and asleep at the very same time

A Fool merely dreaming that she is Divine!

  • Full Moon Names and Significances for Each Month

Astrology is not a tool to make fixed prediction but a tool with which we understand the messages from the higher self through the language of symbols called Divination. The Moon in astrology signifies the play of light and dark as it waxes (Shukla Paksha) and wanes (Krishna Paksha) in its approximately 29.5 day period from one full moon to another. For this reason moon is connected with our mind, the conscious and the unconscious as we play out our hopes, fears, emotions and thoughts relaying into the world around us. Full moons or Purnimas indicate full consciousness while partially illuminated moon signifies the subconscious andamavasya or ‘no moon’ signifies the unconscious. This makes the Full Moon a positive symbol of self-awareness.full-moon-595653_960_720

In the ancient times people kept track of time and seasons through the full moons as they heralded the passing of one lunar month. Here are some of the popular names of each full moon across both eastern and western cultures in the northern hemisphere.

MARCH-APRIL: Phalgun Purnima/ Little Spring Moon – Symbolises new beginnings

Also called Worm Moon (as worms appear to fertilize earth) and Lenten Moon (meaning spring), the festivals Holi is connected with this moon falling near Eostra or spring equinox to celebrate new colourful beginnings in the northern hemisphere.

APRIL-MAY: Chaitra Purnima/ Big Spring Moon – Symbolises fertility and action

Also called Egg Moon, Waking Moon and Pink Moon to symbolizes renewed fertility of earth, this moon marks the start of our annual karmic cycle and thus connected with Chitra Gupta or the recordkeeper of our deeds, as well as Hanumana Jayanti as he symbolises positive action.

    A8 wands

The Eight of Wands in reverse from the Gilded Tarot is a sign that you have been going too fast and trying to handle too many things all at once. Try to slow down this week and feel the energy of the retrograding planets calming your down and helping you be more patient. There is  a need to pay more attention to things that require more attention instead of running from one thing to another all the time. The more you focus on your most important activities the more you will enhance the quality of work. Similarly at home you might need to stop and give some more love and affection to yourself, your loved ones and to your personal life instead of hurrying about your daily chores. This may not be the best time to take up new projects but a great time to be more aware of your most important inner goals. Remember that we must not confuse mere activity with real progress, and you are now about to achieve more and more progress in those things that matter by simply cutting down on what does not matter at the moment!

    Bnine-cups

The Cat People Tarot shows the 9 of Cups as a bubbling, exciting and joyful time. You are about to do incredibly well in so many ways that there will be a need to raise a toast to yourself. Do not let your own positive energy go unnoticed especially by yourself. You deserve applause and encouragement right now and there is no need to wait for someone to give these to you. Waste no time in any worry or care right now. You are better off simply being totally satisfied in each and every way. Feel really thankful to your own inner self, for everything is totally self-created and you know there is nothing but yourself to be thankful to. More and more blessings will be coming into your life just by this exercise of gratitude and gladness. Your higher self is always at your service, let it bring you more of what is good for you. Enjoy!

    C6 wands

The Six of Wands from the Golden Tarot has appeared in front of you right now, bringing you sheer success. Its time to shine and lead in your victory march. You must have worked hard or really smart for you are now coming to this point. People do look at you with great admiration and see you as a source of strength and guidance. You are a leader who is paving the path ahead for others to follow. Everything you do can potentially inspire many others right now so do be careful as you are in the limelight. As all eyes are upon you there is no need to be frightened or shy. Strut your stuff with confidence. Take this opportunity to be kind and appreciative of others to do what leaders do. Build others up and bring out the very best in everyone you meet. More laurels will follow, stay positive!

    Dtemperance

The Temperance is a major card and this one from the Renaissance Tarot is a beautiful representation of your inner spiritual power. Your healing skills are about to become more and more powerful. You shall feel tremendous peace and positive energy will flow through you. Your inner yin and yang forces are harmonizing to keep your conscious and subconscious mind in balance. Your chakras will function optimally and return to balance as a result. An increase in inner well-being as well as better physical health are on the cards. You will be feeling much more spiritual than before and taking time to perform holistic and complimentary healing. All aspects of your life shall improve as a result. Continue to meditate!

  • Top Ten Reasons to be a Fool!

Top Ten Reasons to be a Fool!

Being a Fool might  sound like something embarrassing to some of us, but spiritually speaking the Fool is the most powerful archetype to associate with. Here are some reasons why we all should consider being more like the Fool:-

    1. Being Humble: A Fool does not pretend to be self-important or great. To be free of ego is one of the highest achievements any person can attain in any lifetime. Egos are products of ignorance, while humility comes with wisdom. The Fool would then be wiser than most others who consider themselves wise and knowledgeable. So lets take off our masks and be down to earth.mask-1083605_960_720.jpg
    2. No Worries: How often do we waste our time feeling worried about things instead of enjoying our present moment fully? A Fool shows us that there is in reality nothing to worry about. All things are self created and worry will only create more things to worry about. Being free of worry and care, and just being there in the moment is the lesson.relax-1137240_960_720.jpg
    3. Happy Go Lucky: Taking life as it comes is the art of living. Have you seen that people who are easygoing and joyful are normally far luckier in every way than people who think  too much and feel unhappy? An inner state of happiness brings forth many pleasant experiences to relish everyday.peter-886132_960_720
    4. Don’t Mind It: Spending our precious moments, thinking about what others think about us is something we all have been guilty of. The Fool on the other hand has been laughing it all off…no matter what people say or think. Something to learn here? joy-233380_960_720
    5. No Attachment: All things are temporal and illusory, say the saints. The Fool perhaps knows this deep within because the Fool owns nothing and controls nothing. Being a Fool we learn that nothing really matters as much as having a pure mind free of all attachments. seagull-768785_960_720
    6. Nothing to Fear: Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. The Fool is unafraid because neither death nor life has anything worth being afraid of. In life everything that happens to us in pure experience that our soul takes as a lesson. Being the Fool helps us open our arms and embrace life as well as death as and when they happen.skydiving-678168_960_720
    7. Perfect Trust: A Fool is trusting and that is why he can be fooled. We might think that its best to be ‘careful’, but spiritually speaking being trusting is a stronger thing to be. Feeling vulnerable and being hurt are things that happen when we forget that the universe is our inner creation. Everything has manifested from the self. Have faith and trust yourself.heart-826933_960_720
    8. Innocence: In growing up we sometimes lose the child within. The Fool perhaps never grew up. He did not learn to be mean, selfish or hateful…or if he did, he has ‘unlearnt’ it. He has no malice or negativity in his heart towards anyone or anything just like the innocent child within us all.child
    9. Be Simple: The world might seem like a complex puzzle to many of us trying to scientifically analyse life and the universe. Yet to close our eyes and meditate helps us much more in understanding existence. To be simple and natural can perhaps bring us closer to the truth than anything else.simpl.jpg
    10. Keep on Learning: The most important thing about being the Fool is to know that there is nothing to know except the ‘knower’. Academics, philosophers and researchers can write, read and teach tons of literature but that is knowledge of things. The moment we think we know a lot, its time to be the Fool once again because until we know ourselves we know nothing in reality and if we are here on earth it is because we are still learning….who we are!meaning of life
