And with the help of the cards I want you to now be able to manifest only your very best. This is why I would only give you empowering messages by showing you how you can use the message of the card in the right way.

    Ready?

    ….

    ….

    Here we go:

    A8 wands

The Eight of Wands in reverse from the Gilded Tarot is a sign that you have been going too fast and trying to handle too many things all at once. Try to slow down this week and feel the energy of the retrograding planets calming your down and helping you be more patient. There is  a need to pay more attention to things that require more attention instead of running from one thing to another all the time. The more you focus on your most important activities the more you will enhance the quality of work. Similarly at home you might need to stop and give some more love and affection to yourself, your loved ones and to your personal life instead of hurrying about your daily chores. This may not be the best time to take up new projects but a great time to be more aware of your most important inner goals. Remember that we must not confuse mere activity with real progress, and you are now about to achieve more and more progress in those things that matter by simply cutting down on what does not matter at the moment!

    Bnine-cups

The Cat People Tarot shows the 9 of Cups as a bubbling, exciting and joyful time. You are about to do incredibly well in so many ways that there will be a need to raise a toast to yourself. Do not let your own positive energy go unnoticed especially by yourself. You deserve applause and encouragement right now and there is no need to wait for someone to give these to you. Waste no time in any worry or care right now. You are better off simply being totally satisfied in each and every way. Feel really thankful to your own inner self, for everything is totally self-created and you know there is nothing but yourself to be thankful to. More and more blessings will be coming into your life just by this exercise of gratitude and gladness. Your higher self is always at your service, let it bring you more of what is good for you. Enjoy!

    C6 wands

The Six of Wands from the Golden Tarot has appeared in front of you right now, bringing you sheer success. Its time to shine and lead in your victory march. You must have worked hard or really smart for you are now coming to this point. People do look at you with great admiration and see you as a source of strength and guidance. You are a leader who is paving the path ahead for others to follow. Everything you do can potentially inspire many others right now so do be careful as you are in the limelight. As all eyes are upon you there is no need to be frightened or shy. Strut your stuff with confidence. Take this opportunity to be kind and appreciative of others to do what leaders do. Build others up and bring out the very best in everyone you meet. More laurels will follow, stay positive!

    Dtemperance

The Temperance is a major card and this one from the Renaissance Tarot is a beautiful representation of your inner spiritual power. Your healing skills are about to become more and more powerful. You shall feel tremendous peace and positive energy will flow through you. Your inner yin and yang forces are harmonizing to keep your conscious and subconscious mind in balance. Your chakras will function optimally and return to balance as a result. An increase in inner well-being as well as better physical health are on the cards. You will be feeling much more spiritual than before and taking time to perform holistic and complimentary healing. All aspects of your life shall improve as a result. Continue to meditate!

  • Meditation: The Way to our True Self

Meditation: The Way to our True Self

    lotus-1205631_960_720

A lot of people ask me what type of meditation to practice…which technique to follow.

    • Somehow various ‘techniques’ of meditation have been branded all around by various meditation gurus. Those are merely induction techniques for trance. Not meditation itself.
    • Some people would say ‘meditate on this’ this and confuse meditation with contemplation or focus techniques. If you are meditating ‘upon’ something, whether something from a scripture or a word or mantra, that’s not meditation.
    • Some books and authors have confused meditation with visualizations. A lot of groups and individuals have practiced what they called ‘guided meditation’. Well that is not meditation either.
    • Some people thought meditation is breathing techniques. That s part of yoga but not meditation itself.
    • Others confuse meditation with yogic postures or various types of yogas. Some think kundalini and chakra work is meditation. All these techniques are wonderful for wellness and healing but are not meditation itself.
    • Chanting, singing, praying are all nice but they are not meditation either.

    meditation-1087852_960_720

Meditation is our inner natural state. It is when we are simply observing our inner silence. Meditation literally means going within. If you are focused on anything external it is not meditation. Thoughts are not us. We are something even deeper within.

Think of an onion and you are peeling the layers of an onion. Beyond body, beyond emotions, beyond your wishes and dreams, beyond your thoughts playing in the mind, beyond the mind…Going to the deepest part of you. That is our real self and meditation is the way to our real self.

You have to let go of those chanting, affirmations, visualizations, and all those techniques and simply be in inner silence.

    grid-1093913_960_720.jpg

Really go off the GRID of all those mental projections which we believe to be ‘reality’. If your thoughts are playing in your mind keep practicing …half and hour to one hour a day…until you are able to quieten your mind. You will be. It does not depend on what you wear, what music you play outside, which incense you light, what crystals you decorate yourself with. Those things can create the mood, but meditation has only to do with finding time for yourself. Dedicate time…its called ‘sadhna‘. Find time off those facebook and twitter feeds and those numerous chores and tasks of daily life. Really dedicate time for YOURSELF and be with yourself. That’s the only ‘technique’.

Your practice will start to give results when your thoughts reduce significantly. You will be less mind-full and more ‘mindful‘. This is ‘dhyana‘.

Once you achieve the state of ‘dhyana‘ you will slowly find the space between your thoughts getting longer. Stillness. You will be quiet for the first time. Not just on the outside but inside. Free of thoughts. That’s the ‘no-mind‘ awareness. Coming to the point of nothingness or ‘shunyata‘. That’s where the true self is found. It is who we are without all those ideas of who we are. Without our egos and self-identities. It is the real self common to us all. This is where we are all connected as one. So take off all those masks of imagined perceptions and ‘know thyself‘.

    face-623313_960_720

To be with our real self is so blissful, you would not want anything else. There is great peace and real happiness. Not just momentary pleasure but real inner joy. This is the most positive state ever. For the first time you are in touch with yourself. Our true self is divine. Self realization is God-realization. That is the real Goddess energy and the real Christ consciousness. No religion, no prayer, no ritual can give it to us. It is our common spiritual reality where everything and everyone converges. There is no describing how positive and peaceful it can be, you have to experience it yourself.

Don’t give up if you don’t get this instant ‘nirvana’. It is not the false high you get through a drink or a drug. Its not like typing into google and finding what you are looking for. No-one out there can give you the answer to who you are. You cannot pay someone to find you YOUR inner bliss and inner contentment. No healer or guru can do it for you. No witch can cast a spell and send you real happiness. Find yourself. Do not wait for someone to come and open the ‘crown chakra’ for you. That door opens only with your inner key.

    meditation-278793_960_720

Once you do find your inner self, be with yourself and stay with yourself, you will love being with yourself. No longer are you dependent on friends, society, community. No longer are you looking for a soulmate or trying to find love or acceptance. No longer do you need anything or anyone to complete you. Stop wandering around looking for something to do, someone to talk to…and meditate.

Your inner self is peace, bliss and truth. Give yourself time. Be with your inner self more often. You will slowly get established in your inner self.  That’s ‘samadhi‘. Even in the outer world you can be in touch with your inner self, constantly. With time you begin to integrate with your real self it in non-dual awareness. Self-aware and awakened, not divided anymore but one complete whole.

If you are looking for ‘benefits’ in meditation then let me tell you, there is nothing else but meditation that truly sets us free. You can cast spells and do all those new age magick that you love and enjoy everyday. But meditation is the way to find the truth. Its not just something you use for gaining power, getting richer, getting success, getting love or fame…PLEASE do not meditate for those reasons. Its time not to be stuck at those worldly desires. You are on the right path if and only if you are interested in being one with the TRUTH. That’s called being spiritual.

    earth

If there is one thing and one thing alone that can really heal the world it is meditation. If there are problems in our life, in our society, in the world, it is only because of lack of meditation. There is no dis-ease, no worry, no struggle, no fight or strife any more once you are well integrated with the inner truth. If we could all meditate a bit more and a bit more…and a bit more…we will automatically find everything that is necessary for the world today.

The truth makes us free. That is the only path to REAL-ization. While thoughts and ideas are illusions, truth is only found in silence. That’s the only time we are COMPLETELY with our pure and natural self. I hope you enjoy meditating and being with the truth within.

Happy Earth Day and Full Moon.

    Blessed Be!

  • Hope for Little African ‘Witches’..and the TRUTH about Witchcraft

Hope for Little African ‘Witches’..and the TRUTH about Witchcraft

Many of you might be aware that in many countries, especially in Africa, women as well as kids have been branded ‘witches’ and abused or killed due to the misconception that they can curse or harm.

This little boy of barely two years old for example was found roaming hungry and naked for eight months! The family abandoned him and left him to die because they thought he was a ‘witch’. Emaciated and riddled by worms he was surviving on scraps thrown by passersby. Thanks to the efforts of Anja Ringgren Lovén from Denmark, he was rescued and is now healthy and safe and is named ‘Hope’.

The problem is not a belief in ‘witchcraft’ but a false belief in ‘evil witches’ and the tendency to discriminate against those accused of being so.

Witchcraft is a much misunderstood word and is not at all related to cursing or evil. Due to widespread fears and ignorance many innocent women and kids have been hurt and killed in the pretext of witch-hunting for several centuries all over the world, be it medieval Europe or modern Africa and India. Today we all are realizing that everyone creates and manifests their own life and there is nothing supernatural or evil about ‘witchcraft’ which was simply a name for folk-remedies, herbal healing and ancient shamanism in the past.

In the ancient world the words witch or wizard simply meant ‘wise men and women’ who could help people with their problems using spiritual advise. Whether in ancient India, rest of Asia,  Africa, Native America or ancient Europe, astrology spells and natural healing has been practiced as something positive and useful. The below video explains how the practice of blaming and killing people labelled as witches began in western Europe.

The ideas of ‘evil witches’ sadly spread to the rest of the world, including Asia and Africa where harmless women and kids have suffered in modern times, wrongly accused for causing bad luck, disasters, and illnesses in families and communities.

According to Safechildafrica.com, a charity that helps African kids accused as ‘witches’, ‘It is thought that the child has been put under a spell and given the power to wreak havoc. This is a belief that cuts across all tiers of society. Some churches and Nigerian movies also play a major role in spreading this belief. And there are many so-called pastors who brand children as witches and then charge extortionate fees to ‘exorcise’ them.’

On one hand in many countries witchcraft is today being as a religious and spiritual path based on positive thinking and nature based healing, especially as Wicca which is a modern religion based on witchcraft that Harms None. Yet, on the other hand media including Hollywood as well as common news media has still been wrongly depicting witches as well as Wiccan rituals as evil, adding to the confusions and misunderstandings all over the world.

Some people being influenced by such media hype, have been trying to make a quick buck or gain popularity by projecting themselves falsely as professional ‘witches’ who can be paid to ‘cast a spell ON’ or ‘curse someone’, or to ‘enchant someone’…both being things that are not wisdom magick and hence not real or actual witchcraft.

While we must rescue and help little kids such as ‘Hope’ above, we also have to deal with the bigger picture – about eradicating false fears regarding witchcraft and helping people gain more spiritual awareness about positive thinking, meditation and real spiritual healing as the real ways to magically improve our life. By creating positive awareness we can save more lives and improve the way women and kids are treated in the world today.

Meanwhile you can contribute to these charities that help African kids accused of witchcraft today and save some precious little lives:

    REMEMBER THAT TODAY:

    • Real witchcraft is based on inner wisdom or spiritual awareness
    • Real witchcraft is no longer about cursing or harming anyone
    • Real witchcraft is no longer about attracting a man or woman to you
    • Real witchcraft is about nature based healing and natural spirituality
    • Real witchcraft is not about casting spells upon others or on behalf of others
    • Everything is self-created, stop blaming others for cursing you
    • Real witchcraft is about YOUR inner spiritual power used for improving YOUR life YOURSELF
    • Real witchcraft is not a special supernatural power found in some people
    • We all have this NATURAL inner power to create our own life!!
    • Yes, YOU ARE A WITCH! and its a good thing to be!

Latest scientific research has confirmed that going vegan can benefit all of us and our planet significantly, saving millions of lives. While you can read the full report HERE we bring you some of the core reasons why a vegan diet is a more positive one:

    1. Love Yourself: Being positive begins with being good to our-self. Your diet clearly shows how much you care for your own well-being. Going meat and dairy free can prevent most everyday illnesses whether gastric, heart related or cancerous. Whether its protein, calcium, iron, vitamins or any other essential nutrients a vegan diet can give you everything minus the dangers of meat and dairy. Your food can be the key to a healthy and long life. Imagine yourself as a beautiful and lovable child who deserves only health and happiness. Would you not want the best for yourself now?watermelon-846357_960_720
    2. Love Nature: Our going vegan can literally save our planet from global warming and pollution. Meat and dairy production put a tremendous stress on our resources and deplete our planet rapidly, while growing plants helps in improving our environment, reducing pollution and reversing global warming. environmental-protection-326923_960_720
    3. Better Karma: Consuming meats and dairy clearly harms animals and takes away their lives. Plants however regrow after harvesting and do not die away if you consume their parts. If you believe that your life is a product of your own karma or deeds then going vegan adds to the good luck and positive blessings coming in your life right now. Why think twice? kindness-1197351_960_720.jpg
    4. Delicious Meals: If you have a majorly meat and dairy based diet you might be missing out on the amazing variety, colors and tastes of plant based options. Imagine your plate full of colorful crispy vegetables and feel their juicy taste nourishing you deeply. Won’t eating such a yummy meal be good in itself? noodle-soup-482359_960_720
    5. Versatile Diet: For every meat and dairy food that you have ever craved for, there are tastier vegan options. Its only your habit and mental block that prevented you from truly experiencing this. Try vegan sushis, chocolates, cakes and desserts and you will find that a vegan diet is truly full of variety and versatile in itself. You can get vegan milk, cheeses and more from the marketplace with much more ease than you thought as more and more people opt for vegan food options.sushi-1181278_960_720

  • Top Ten Reasons to be a Fool!

Top Ten Reasons to be a Fool!

Being a Fool might  sound like something embarrassing to some of us, but spiritually speaking the Fool is the most powerful archetype to associate with. Here are some reasons why we all should consider being more like the Fool:-

    1. Being Humble: A Fool does not pretend to be self-important or great. To be free of ego is one of the highest achievements any person can attain in any lifetime. Egos are products of ignorance, while humility comes with wisdom. The Fool would then be wiser than most others who consider themselves wise and knowledgeable. So lets take off our masks and be down to earth.mask-1083605_960_720.jpg
    2. No Worries: How often do we waste our time feeling worried about things instead of enjoying our present moment fully? A Fool shows us that there is in reality nothing to worry about. All things are self created and worry will only create more things to worry about. Being free of worry and care, and just being there in the moment is the lesson.relax-1137240_960_720.jpg
    3. Happy Go Lucky: Taking life as it comes is the art of living. Have you seen that people who are easygoing and joyful are normally far luckier in every way than people who think  too much and feel unhappy? An inner state of happiness brings forth many pleasant experiences to relish everyday.peter-886132_960_720
    4. Don’t Mind It: Spending our precious moments, thinking about what others think about us is something we all have been guilty of. The Fool on the other hand has been laughing it all off…no matter what people say or think. Something to learn here? joy-233380_960_720
    5. No Attachment: All things are temporal and illusory, say the saints. The Fool perhaps knows this deep within because the Fool owns nothing and controls nothing. Being a Fool we learn that nothing really matters as much as having a pure mind free of all attachments. seagull-768785_960_720
    6. Nothing to Fear: Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. The Fool is unafraid because neither death nor life has anything worth being afraid of. In life everything that happens to us in pure experience that our soul takes as a lesson. Being the Fool helps us open our arms and embrace life as well as death as and when they happen.skydiving-678168_960_720
    7. Perfect Trust: A Fool is trusting and that is why he can be fooled. We might think that its best to be ‘careful’, but spiritually speaking being trusting is a stronger thing to be. Feeling vulnerable and being hurt are things that happen when we forget that the universe is our inner creation. Everything has manifested from the self. Have faith and trust yourself.heart-826933_960_720
    8. Innocence: In growing up we sometimes lose the child within. The Fool perhaps never grew up. He did not learn to be mean, selfish or hateful…or if he did, he has ‘unlearnt’ it. He has no malice or negativity in his heart towards anyone or anything just like the innocent child within us all.child
    9. Be Simple: The world might seem like a complex puzzle to many of us trying to scientifically analyse life and the universe. Yet to close our eyes and meditate helps us much more in understanding existence. To be simple and natural can perhaps bring us closer to the truth than anything else.simpl.jpg
    10. Keep on Learning: The most important thing about being the Fool is to know that there is nothing to know except the ‘knower’. Academics, philosophers and researchers can write, read and teach tons of literature but that is knowledge of things. The moment we think we know a lot, its time to be the Fool once again because until we know ourselves we know nothing in reality and if we are here on earth it is because we are still learning….who we are!meaning of life

  • Nine Reasons to Go Wild and Fruity

Nine Reasons to Go Wild and Fruity

Did you know the answer to most health problems could be hidden in our lifestyle habits, especially our diet? Over centuries we have been conditioned to salivate at the thought of eating hot, strongly flavored, highly cooked and processed foods. The more you are exposed to media, the more you would feel the urge to dial for fast foods or go out to restaurants. When hungry your possible instinct might be to reach out for unhealthy snacks bought from the supermarket. These nine reasons should be enough to help you make a wiser choice from now on :-

    1. tomatoes-101845_960_720Fruits are parts of plants specifically meant to be eaten. Nature could not have given the message out more clearly.  Fruits, including fruity veggies are naturally shed from the tree or plant when ripe so that  hey are consumed. If they are designed to be eaten you could not go too wrong in including them majorly in your diet.
    2. ape-44564_960_720.pngHumans share maximum characteristics including our possible ancestry with apes who thrive on fruit based diet. Our teeth, jaws and bodies are well designed for eating and digesting fruits. In contrast, meats and dairy products cause stomach complaints in almost every human at some point of time. Time to ape the apes?
    3. colorful-pumpkins-959509_960_720Fruits including fruity vegetables that are technically fruits, contain fiber and most of the nutrition our body needs making them a fantastic candidate for the major portion of our diet.
    4. piglet-1033217_960_720Absolutely no creature is harmed or hurt if you focus on natural organic fruits and fruity vegetables. This is the part of your diet you can consume totally guilt-free and assured of positive karma.
    5. strawberries-764708_960_720Fruits and fruity vegetables are yummy. Next time instead of reaching out for chocolates, cakes or sweets…dig into a kiwi or melon instead. In a few days you will wonder why you ever craved for chocolates and sweets. Most of these cravings are created by consumerism. Fruits are what your soul prefers.
    6. girl-1081721_960_720You save hundreds of hours each month of cooking time because fruits are prepared ready to eat by mama nature. Besides the fact that raw foods are also the healthiest, you also get more time to meditate and do more positive things.
    7. eggplant-671910_960_720You get your sugars naturally leading to fewer insulin imbalances or better control of diabetes. You  will also avoid a host of other health problems including cancers, heart disease, blood pressure, etc., by cutting down on unhealthy carbs and fats. Eating a mix of sweet and salty fruits is best. Aim for variety, especially brinjals, cucumbers, gooseberries, peppers, tomatoes, tindas, guards, squashes, zucchini…. those are fruits too, not just the sweet ones.  Avoid juices and think whole.
    8. tennis-15844_960_720You are going to get your real and beautiful body and radiant skin back. And that too without expensive weight loss programs. Your real body is your natural one, which you would effortlessly achieve on eating fruits and fruity vegetables.
    9. money-256282_960_720Money saved is money earned…enjoying a bunch of healthy fruits at lunch or tea-time is better for your wallet than those takeaway meals or coffee shop trips. The benefits of a fruity diet do not stop at health!.
  • Seven Reasons for Being More Spiritual

Seven Reasons for Being More Spiritual

On one hand we have seen people who are purely materialistic and for whom the physical world observed through the five outer senses is all there is. Yet, on the other hand we have spiritualists who believe that the outer perceivable world is mere illusion while the truth is hidden within. In this internet driven corporate world, why should you try learning and practicing spirituality at all, when success is measured through the size of your material achievements? Well, it turns out that those who are purely material are prone to losing their health, wealth, happiness and success all too easily, while those who are spiritual seem to have blissful lives even with a modest lifestyle.

Here are 7 powerful ways that spirituality can transform our lives forever…in a way that materialism never can:

    pyramidlayers.jpg

    1. PROTECTING FROM THE NEGATIVE: At the base of it we all have to deal with our fears that manifest in the form of various negative situations and experiences around us. Spirituality teaches us that everything that happens on the outside has an inner cause, even those things that seem to be happening to us through others. Therefore if anything negative has been observed anywhere in our life, the source is most likely to be an inner fear that caused it. Release that fear and replace it with trust…that’s the way to peace. Being spiritual helps us by transforming our fears into love because we know that everything has its source deep within us. This way no matter how much the negativity that surround us we know that if we find peace within we shall be  just fine.
    2. ATTRACT POSITIVE EXPERIENCES: Just as we know that fears caused our sorrows, we know that positive thoughts and emotions will bring us positive experiences with equal certainty. Spiritual secrets can surely help bring us more abundance, real love, lasting peace, joy and success in anything that is positive for our whole self. The moment we shift our focus to inner peace and start feeling better it begins to create all good things that our soul truly desires us to have. We might find that we are effortlessly attracting a better quality of friends, relationships, opportunities and situations than ever before and we accept them with open arms.
    3. PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT: It is ignorance that makes us feel vulnerable, pitiable, sad, hurt or victimized. A spiritually aware and enlightened soul knows that every moment there is infinite energy within at all times. The awareness of what lies within us expands our inner power to the extent that we can help ourselves anytime. Whether it is our physical or monetary health, career or personal goals, there is less of dependency on others and more self-reliance. We know that an inner switch can change everything for the better and that we can manifest our life with our own choices at any point of time as we keep brimming with limitless positive energy.
    4. DEEPER HEALING: Spiritual energy connects our mind, body and soul together seamlessly as we know that everything is ultimately woven with threads of spiritual energy alone. Since this positive energy is the source of all there is its enhanced flow can heal everything at every level of our being. The moment we shift our focus to the spiritual through meditative state, an enhanced flow of spiritual energy is triggered and staying in this peaceful radiant state continues healing us from inside out. From physical to social life, from home to all of earth, spiritual healing helps everything and everyone in a tremendous way.
    5. AWARENESS: Learning the truth and sharing the truth that we have learnt help us in expanding our consciousness and that of the universe. The remarkable fact is that as our consciousness expands it helps in expanding the consciousness of everything around us too. This consciousness when awakened is the power that transforms the entire world for the better. Whether through books or discourses, workshops or seminars, we know that amazingly wise teachers and masters will find us eventually and we will be equally enlightened provided we follow and practice what we have learnt with total dedication.
    6. SIDDHIS: Once we attain a higher state of consciousness and learn more about who we are, it increases our magickal and psychic powers in several ways. Through spiritual practice and inner focus we awaken our natural yet latent superpowers that are a necessary part of our spiritual awakening. We not only realize but actualize our multi-dimensional, infinite nature. In time we know that there is absolutely nothing that can be called impossible because we become masters of the illusion of life, rising above all of it. We are no longer limited by anything around us and ready for the next level of awakening.
    7. MOKSHA: The highest possible reason for being spiritual is that it sets you free from all illusion. Contrary to what you might have been told before, relinquishing desire may not lead to liberation but to deeper blockage or repression. The right way to be liberated from all desires is to find a deeper contentment. At this greater level of spiritual progress there is little else that you would seek. Imagine that you could have just about anything in the world right now…yet you feel that you have everything already…in-fact in a very real way, you know that you already ARE everything. With nothing more to want or seek, nothing left to crave for, you are ready to be permanently liberated from the illusory nature of the world process and be one with your ultimate truth.

  • Chakras and the Sacred Seeds of Manifestation

Chakras and the Sacred Seeds of Manifestation

Our chakras are the energy centers that link our inner and outer worlds together. It is through our chakra wheels that we manifest our inner energies in the outer world, through our bodies, our work, our words, our relationships…they form the rainbow bridge that connects our higher and lower self as one. Our chakras are astral convergence points for our numerous ‘naadis’ or energy channels of the subtle body. There may be 7 major chakras but perhaps 70 or more minor chakras can also be identified lying within or beyond our physical human bodies.

Our 7 major chakras are often symbolized in VIBGYOR colours to help us understand their functions better. A syllable or ‘bija mantra’ is also ascribed to each of these chakras helping us energize each area of life that they represent. The word ‘bija’ means seed. Because our chakras project or channel our inner energies into outer existence, the bija mantras associated with each chakra are powerful seeds that manifest our inner divine self into the outer world when chanted.

    1. The lowest of the 7 chakras is the root chakra or ‘mooladhara’ visualized in red color and energized by the intonation of the mantra ‘LAM’. This energy wheel manifests our lower or physical existence as the solid world including our bodies and all the things around us.
    2. The next is our sacral chakra or ‘swadhishthana’ visualized in orange and energized by the intonation of ‘VAM’ to enhance our creativity including the aesthetic, reproductive and sensual side of our existence.
    3. The third chakra is solar or ‘manipura’ visualized in yellow and energized with the ‘bija mantra RAM’ to help us be powerful, successful in asserting our will, with a healthy sense of ‘self’.
    4. In the middle our heart chakra ‘anhata’ helps us expand our self to connect with the rest of the world through the power of love and compassion. It is visualized in the colour green and empowered through the ‘bija mantra YAM’.
    5. Our throat chakra or ‘vishuddha’ is visualized in blue light and connected with the intonation of ‘HAM’ to help us express clearly and truthfully to understand and be understood in our world.
    6. The third eye or ‘agya chakra’ has an indigo hue to describe its deeper power of intuition and magick and its ‘bija mantra’ is ‘SHAM’.
    7. Higher up around the top of our head our ‘sahasrara’ or crown chakra resonates the frequencies of universal or infinite power through the color violet and the mantra ‘OM’

Notice that each of these ‘bija mantras’ end with AM, you can see this as a declaration of manifestation…of being and becoming…and that is why I call them seeds of manifestation through which the divine self (call it ‘I AM’ if you will), is brought to life from the nothingness of empty space into our perceivable universe.

But what about the first part of each of these seven seeds of manifestation…..The La of LAM, the Ra of RAM, the Va of VAM, the Ya of YAM, the Ha of HAM, the Sh of SHAM, the O of OM…do they mean anything specific? These are what they mean to me and perhaps you would be able to feel their resonance with you as well:

    • Root Chakra: The La of LAM to me  represents the Lower world. The divine or higher self as the creator loves the lower world which is its own projection or creation and no less holy than the higher heavenly planes. LAM is the Lower La I AM…LAM
    • Sacral Chakra: The Va of VAM is the Wa of the womb of creation, the ‘yin’ or goddess power.. our creative force that helps us enjoy life…as our kundalini’ serpent begins to rise in the dance of life- Wow!…Va I AM….VAM
    • Solar Chakra: The Ra of RAM to me connects with the ‘yang’ principle of the gods Ra or Rama (or any other name you give them) representing individuality, personality or self. Ra the solar power that fires our daily life…this Ra I AM….RAM
    • Heart Chakra: The Ya of YAM is the Yeah, Yes factor…the attitude with which we open our arms and our heart wide enough to accept abundance, giving and receiving fully and seamlessly. Yes of course…Yeah!…Ya I AM….YAM
    • Throat Chakra: The Ha of HAM is the Ha of our laughter…the highest way we can express our inner truth. There is nothing to be sad about as we exhale and let go of all sorrow….ha…let go.. and all that is left to express is sheer joy. Ha! Ha! I AM…HAM
    • Third-eye Chakra: The Sh of SHAM is the Shh of silence…our inner mind takes over to start manifesting from within…through its inner soundless magick as the universe listens telepathically to our silent command … Shh.. I AM…..SHAM
    • Crown Chakra: The O of OM is the Oh! or O’ f self-realization…now it all makes sense…the puzzle falls back together… and all we can say or feel is this moment of utter truth…when all words would fail to describe the infinite reality of our true self…O’ creator who is within… O’! I AM….OM

Sow the sacred seeds of sounds…resonate them all around

Manifest from source to ground…beyond them silence can be found

From higher to lower reality ….in every plane may Blessed you Be!

  • The East and West of Magick

This lifetime I chose to be born in the ancient land of Vedic wisdom, India…the place where timeless spiritual truths still live on in the form of tradition and culture. Yet, I was born with witchcraft (and Wicca too) in my soul. It was 1989 when I conducted my first ritual at ten years of age, feeling the powers rise within me, casting a circle, calling the quarters, raising energy of the elements and conjuring a spell. At the turn of the millennium after I was formally initiated into Wicca and remembered my past lives, I started conducting Wiccan rituals for large and small groups in Mumbai while teaching tarot and then I began Magick, a small store at 16th road, Bandra west, Mumbai in 2008 that still continues there now being used as a temple of Global Wicca.

The best part about being a Wiccan in India was that India already is rich in ancient wisdom. Wicca found easy acceptance in the diverse cultural and religious medley of India because of the spiritual openness and pagan heritage of India. In-fact there are so many parallelisms between western pagan traditions and Indian paganism that India seemed to be the perfect place for me to have launched Global Wicca, a spiritual tradition that unites the western magickal concepts with eastern mysticism.

    • Talk about the five elements of nature and you find the ‘panch-tawwas’ of Vayu-air, Agni-fire, Apas-water, Prithvi-earth and Akasha-spirit are all honored in every ritual or yagya/ yajna since Vedic India.
    • Talk about the goddess and god equality and India will teach you how the Goddess is the all powerful Shakti or energy, the ultimate creator who is worshiped in her numerous forms through so many festivals and rites.
    • Talk about the Wiccan Rede, ‘An Ye Harm None Do As Ye Will’ and Indians would say yes to Ahimsa, a virtue of non-violence that was promoted not only by Gandhi but also by several traditions including but not limited to the Jain saints of India.
    • Talk about the Law of Three and you will learn of Karma, the law of cause and effect as your energy comes back your way not only in this lifetime but through rebirths to help you learn and grow through experience.
    • Talk about the multiplicity of deity and you will get no better place than India to see gods and goddesses of all shapes, genders and forms in each street.
    • Talk about spells and magick and you will learn about mantras (spoken spells), yantras (tools and talismans) and tantras (the craft and yogas) to weave the enchantment together), crafting intentions with focused energy – witchcraft in other words.
    • Talk about crystals, herbs and gems and you will learn all about their planets, chakras and various correspondences from ancient Indian spirituality. Some of the best crystals, stones, herbs and incenses are sourced from India the world over.
    • Talk about astrology, divination, healing and you will learn this in every street and corner of India where its been practiced in so many ways as a well established profession whether as ancient Vedic astrology or other intuitive arts.
    • Tarot cards with the five suits of Europe may have originated in Italy in 15th century but Indian spiritual cards have been around since the 7th century in the form of Dasavtara taash depicting the ten suits of Vishnus ten reincarnations.
    • Animals and trees have been regarded as divine too, with each deity connected with their own animal familiar and trees as well as herbs being worshiped for their magickal and healing powers in each corner of India.
    • Speak of the power of lunar cycles and you will find that each lunar day from Amavasya (new moon) and each day or tithi of the waxing moon to Purnima (full moon) has been celebrated and observed as special and magickal in its own way.
    • Talk about celebrating the major and minor Sabbats and cycles of earth – and you will learn how they correspond closely with the ‘rutus’ (seasons) in the Indian calendar and the annual celebrations that mark each season
      • Just like Imbolc celebrates the goddess Bridget the maiden who brings in warmth after winter, Vasant panchmi celebrates Saraswati, the maiden who brings the light of awareness as spring begins to dawn.
      • Vernal or spring celebrations of Holi, Gudi padwa, Ugadi correspond with the Ostara spring equinox celebrations where color returns to earth after winter
      • Just as Beltane is the start of summer, Vaishakh celebrates agriculture and fertility with the festivals Vishu, Bihu and Akshaya Tritiya celebrating the solar power.
      • Midsummer solstice and Litha celebrate the peak of summer and faery frolic the outdoor processions of Rath yatra celebrates the procession of celestial deities and Nag Panchami celebrates the reptilian underworld.
      • As Lughnasad is the first harvest or loaf-mass/ lammas, Shravan celebrates the monsoon and the harvest festivals of Green Teej and Krishna Janmashmi or the birth of the dark half of the year when the wheel turns towards autumn.
      • The autumn equinox and Mabon time are the harvest festivities much like Onam and Ganesh Chaturthi when grain and harvest are celebrated.
      • As the summer ends and winter draws closer, the last harvest of Samhain corresponds with the festivals of Navratri, Diwali and Kaali Puja that celebrate the great goddess energy in the dark new year.
      • Winter celebrations such as Yule and mid-winter solstice or Christmas see parallels in Lohri, Pongal and Makar Sankranti when the rebirth of the sun is celebrated.

So what is the difference between ancient Indian customs and that of the western Wiccan witches? If we observe the parallelisms we will find that we are more similar than different and that our differences are superficial while our similarities are deep rooted.

Core philosophical beliefs and nature based celebration rituals of harvest and cultivation deeply unite both western and eastern pagan practices. Myths and mythologies involving various culture specific deities came much later, initially the ancient natural forces were honored and propitiated through all rites, rituals and festivals all over earth.

All over earth our rites, rituals, customs all have evolved to reflect the cultural shades of our land. Our unique herbs, trees and folklore in each country has led to a unique magickal heritage of each country . Communities within each land have their own customs and traditions. Yet the base of all magickal traditions – both in the east and the west is One. It is nature that has shaped our magickal beliefs and traditions all over earth and the oldest spirituality in each part of the world is simply – nature.

The western propaganda against the word ‘witch’, ‘withcraft’ and ‘paganism’ had spread even to the east over the last few centuries. It is only in the west that ancient and timeless wisdom, natural celebrations, herbal and stone magick, meditation, goddess worship, paganism, idol worship and mantras/ spells were all connected with evil thanks to the fears spread to promote religious conversions from pagan to non-pagan beliefs. In the eastern world ancient magick is a living continuing tradition since thousands of years, having survived the conversion attempts of western religions. Yet we have seen instances of witch-hunting and prosecution of women and children ‘blamed’ or ‘accused’ of witchcraft even in Asia and Africa…even in the ancient magickal land of India, all thanks to the misunderstandings seeping in from all around.

What people of India and the rest of the world have to understand is that magick is an integral power in every being of nature including humans and that it is nothing to be feared of. Calling it superstitious, irrational or evil is akin to dishonoring our deep rooted magickal heritage and the spiritual work of our thousands of gurus since ancient times. No matter what the dictionaries, bibles and wikipedias of the world might say regarding witchcraft, Wicca and magick, let us remember that these are not to be seen with the tainted shades of religious discrimination.

If we focus on the ancient teaching from both the east and the west we will find ample guidance in favor of learning and practical magick and spirituality in everyday life. I may have been a western western witch in my past life but in this life being born Indian, I have learn to expand my consciousness greatly and to see paganism, witchcraft as well as Wicca in a new global light that unites the east and the west. There is no point arguing about whether eastern or western paganism is superior. We know that we are all one and what we all must strive towards is to let go of all our misunderstandings and accept the magick in everyone and everything.

  • Twelve Positive Symptoms of Spiritual Growth and Ascension

Twelve Positive Symptoms of Spiritual Growth and Ascension

    clouds-806637_1920

Spirituality is all about discovering our inner self, the part of us which is beyond the physical, mortal or limited existence. While there are many of us who discover our spiritual truth through regular meditation and spiritual training, some of us experience an awakening all of a sudden, whether through dreams or near death experience. With proper practice and wise guidance we can gracefully handle all the new awareness being opened up throughout our journey.

Here are a few pointers to help us understand the inner changes we experience as the real symptoms of spiritual growth. If we are experiencing these changes in our life to some or the other extent, it is a sign that we are following the right spiritual path and practice. If yet to experience them, especially if stuck in negative symptoms or experiences …then it is merely a matter of time we will move on to the next level, provided we keep meditating and learning constantly from the right sources:

    1. From Outer to Inner Awareness: Spiritual growth is accompanied with psychic, emotional, physical and mental changes as our inner senses are opened up. We become more perceptive and sensitive to the hidden nature of reality. Before spiritual awakening people saw the world with only their limited five senses, dismissing any spiritual information given by others as ‘unscientific’. After spiritual awakening we can more easily experience the astral or subtle dimension, see more meaning in dreams and receive messages in meditative state.  The unconscious is made conscious helping us in healing unknown blocks as they are revealed to us.
    2. From Negativity to Positive Transformation: As hidden blockages and negativity are brought up into our conscious awareness it can be uncomfortable to some people at first. Through the right spiritual training and inner work we learn how to release our fears. Slowly psychic disturbances reduce, whether insomnia, nightmares or disturbing visions, physical pain or discomfort as blocks are being healed, or emotional highs or lows as we shift from material to spiritual awareness. We accept new and positive changes in our hobbies, career, relationships, beliefs and attitudes as our inner vibrations transform for the better. We attract more positive people, situations and energies.
    3. From Stress to Peace: Before spiritual awakening people usually saw the world as a fixed reality that they had limited power over. Day to day life was stressful and fearsome for many of us then. Through the right spiritual study and meditation we gain inner stillness and peace of mind. We begin to see how peace is always within us and can be found anywhere and at anytime regardless of situations. Slowly our inner peace starts radiating all around us to create waves of peace everywhere we go. At times people can automatically feel and sense the calm and healing waves of peaceful energy flowing in and around us too.
    4. From Anger to Understanding: Before spiritual awakening we would have felt upset at others, whether family, teachers, colleagues, society, politics, god or deity….blaming them for all problems and difficulties. As our spiritual awareness rises we begin to realize how we create our own life experiences at a deep inner level. We understand that everyone is going through their own cycles of learning just like we are. We can empathize and understand the reasons for their issues, their fears or worries while remaining detached at the same time; allowing them to learn and focusing on what we must learn. We begin to also detach from our own expectations from them thereby putting ourselves in a place of real power.
    5. From Victim to Magickal Being: Spiritual awakening helps us see how we are manifesting our own life experiences from moment to moment. We are no longer victims of fate or destiny, helpless and incapable of influencing our own life situations. Instead of blaming stars and planets for the patterns of our life we begin to realize how celestial bodies and everything in nature merely guides us through intuition and symbolism, toward our own inner psyche. We start applying this wisdom to transform our own inner energy, our beliefs and our vibrations with the result that our own life improves and transforms from inside out.
    6. From Pity to Respect: With enhanced spiritual awareness we are less likely to feel sad or unhappy about the state of the world. Instead, we start feeling more positive about the potential and capacity of the world to change. There is a sense of respect for everyone as a divine being who has their own positive energy or power hidden within them. Instead of seeing people as under-privileged, lesser-fortunate or vulnerable, we recognize their potential for complete and total transformation. We serve them best by helping them realize their own power instead of merely handing them some spare change.
    7. From Guilt to Self-transformation: Being spiritually aware also helps us gain power over our own hidden blockages, addictions or fears. Instead of feeling guilty or regretful about something we did or did not do, we focus on the present moment from where we can create transformation. When we see our problems and mistakes as lessons and learn what we should from them, they stop bothering us repeatedly. Our own inner patterns are reset through this learning. We replace our own self-limiting ways of thinking, feeling or behaving with those that serve our highest good.
    8. From Disease to Wellness: Spiritual work and meditation enhance and improve the energy flowing through us. When we know that it is energy that is manifesting as our physical life, we begin to master our own inner state. This leads to a better well-being and deeper healing that unites our mind, body and spirit as one. Through proper and dedicated practice we learn how to be less affected by the outer world and how to maintain inner balance. Dependence on medication and drugs reduces automatically with the right meditative practice.
    9. From Hunger to Contentment: Those who lived solely in the material dimension and seldom tried meditation were likely to be engrossed in the endless search for pleasure, entertainment, fame, wealth and status, life after life. On the other hand by enhancing our spiritual awareness we discover a deeper part of us which is forever happy, peaceful and content in itself. Instead of seeking constant stimulation through food, sex, internet, socializing or shopping we start feeling more and more satisfied from within. This way we discover the true meaning of abundance consciousness.
    10. From Ego to Humility: Most conflicts, enmities and power struggles were caused due to a feeling of separation between ‘me’ and ‘the rest of the world’. Our ego was hurt easily when we were spiritually unaware of who we are. Spiritual practice helps us learn that the world and our personal self are deeply interwoven; that everyone is somewhere connected to us, and we to them. We see a great divine being in every person and thing uniting us as one greater Self. This way there is no scope for pride, egotism, inferiority or superiority – just a recognition that everything and everyone is simply here to teach us the higher truth.
    11. From Selfishness to Love: Spiritual ignorance has been the root cause of all evil, having manifested as hate, attacks, corruption, lack of ethics or anything that was harmful in nature. Through spiritual awareness we all are now realizing the real meaning of love. We have truly begun to grow as spiritual beings when we discover unconditional love and compassion. Instead of trying to serve our lower, limited, physical selves at the expense of others, we begin to realize the value of being harmless, kind, forgiving and positive towards every being regardless of how they are.
    12. From Illusion to Truth: Spiritual realization and awakening are the real ways to be truly liberated and freed from the illusions of ups and downs, suffering and pleasure, happiness and sorrow. Deep within us is pure peace and bliss. This true happiness does not depend on whether or not we have something or someone in our life. We realize that outer life is merely an illusion manifesting through a play of our desires and wants, fears and hopes, conscious and unconscious thoughts. We discover our innermost truth which is infinitely more satisfying than anything can ever be. This sets us free!
