  • The Abnormal Practice of Male Genital Mutilation in Religion

The Abnormal Practice of Male Genital Mutilation in Religion

We have all heard of FGM, Female Genital Mutilation and it is regarded as a terrible practice prevalent in several countries (still legal in a few) against female humans who are very horrifically assaulted at a very young age, cut with sharp razors in thier genitals, at times without anesthesia. This is conducted solely as per religious or traditional beliefs, usually to prevent them from enjoying sexuality.

But what about the sexual abuse of men who are assualted as very young boys or as infants in a similar abnormal religious tradition? Why is it widespread, and why is it condoned and even promoted by the medical community who profit from it? And how about the billions of innocent baby animals painfully castrated without anesthesia every year in animal farms just for profit before their gruesome slaughter?

The most important thing we have to undertsand is that human infants or those of other species cannot consent to these operations and therefore performing genitally mutilating procedures on females as well as male babies and children on the sensitive genital parts of their little bodies, or upon animals amounts to rape and sexual assault in addition to torture.

A report by scientists based in USA states that baby boys can die as a result of having their foreskin removed with approximately 117 babies dying due to circumcision annually in the United States. (Bollinger, Dan. (2010). Lost Boys: An Estimate of U.S. Circumcision-Related Infant Deaths. Thymos: Journal of Boyhood Studies. 4. 78-90. 10.3149/thy.0401.78.)

The actual numbers of deaths of babies due to circumcision could be a lot higher. According to a crucial report by CIRP doctors hide the true reason of baby death during or after circumcision. As quoted in their article, ‘Neonatal circumcision has no medical indication and is now considered to be an unnecessary non-therapeutic operation’. The report mentions names of several victims some of whom died due to heart attack after the painful procedure and others due to shock and complications.

The false belief that babies do not feel pain, and that the procedure is a miror operation is also at the root of this evil baby mutilation practice. An Oxford University MRI study has concluded that babies feel pain much like adults. In a very disturbing report listing many research studies, researchers have found evidence that the high level of pain issued to infants (normally without anesthetic in circumcision of newborn infants) would not be tolerated by older patients.(Williamson, P. & Williamson, M., “Physiologic Stress Reduction by a Local Anesthetic during Newborn Circumcision,” Pediatrics 71 1983). Imagine a little newborn child having to undergo a surgical procedure so painful that even an adult could not have tolerated it?

Circumcision is a bloody procedure as large proportion of skin around the penis is cut off unnecessarily. Some infants cannot stop crying for many hours to days altogether, have abnormally long spells of sleep and unable to follow normal feeding, bathing or urination routine after the procedure. Newborn circumcisions are normally performed while the child is awake without anesthesia. Imagine going through the gory procedure when you are just born and all you want is your mother’s loving protection and her milk?

Derogatory practices of FGM Female Genital Mutilation and Breast Ironing are also observed not only in African nations and Middle East but also in the developed countries, often including those such as UK where FGM is banned.

In a media report a man who committed suicide due to circumcision in adulthood has described how it was acutely painful, led to chronic discomfort and was infact comparable to removal of female clitoris (FGM).

The justification of this abhorrent and rather painful practice of genital mutilation of male children is similar to that of females – the ideology that masturbation in particular is bad and a tendency towards shaming of the natural human body parts.

In the Psychology Today magazine Dr. Darcia Narvaez notes that Dr. Kellogg (of Corn Flakes fame) advocated circumcision to stop masturbation without administering an anesthetic, in an attempt to induce a mind-body correlation with punishment.

Some parents and medical professionals actually condone this practice stating that it improves health, cleanliness and hygeine (by removing the very necessary nature-endowed protective flap on the sex organ). These doctors also boast that circumcision delays male orgasms (although completely unnaturally) when females may not always appreciate it and are married to unwanted partners in many underdeveloped countries. Women at times end up feeling trapped and often raped within their marriage, undergoing the ordeal of sexual intercourse merely because there is no choice given to them and no way of escaping their financial, physical and mental subjugation while circumcised men take their time to climax and unable to please themselves independently via masturbation.

Genital mutilation of babies and children usually leads to abnormality in sexual behavior. In a leading research study conducted by scientists, it was found that “Masturbatory pleasure decreased after circumcision in 48% of the respondents, and masturbatory difficulty increased after circumcision in 63% of the respondents, while 20% reported a worse sex life after circumcision.” The researchers concluded that circumcision adversely affects sexual function in many men, typically due to a loss of nerve endings. (Kim, D. and Pang, M.‐G. (2007), The effect of male circumcision on sexuality. BJU International, 99: 619-622.)

Circumcision was purely an invention of the Biblical religions as per Genesis 17:13: “He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.” As usual there were promises by the assumed God to make Abraham an owner of many lands as per the voice and visions believed by followers to be true in blind faith. The racial greed for owning many lands and becoming a predecesor of many nations has been used to justify the process that is clearly child abuse.

So strong is the corrupt hold of religion over the innocent minds of human beings that billions of people in the world are still under the spell of outdated religions and their unnecessary as well as very harmful traditions.

As usual the fate of animals is much worse than that of even human babies.

In a report by a leading charity Free From Harm it is described that using that animal owners perpetrate the crimes of castration, that too without painkillers upon innocent baby animals to make them ‘less aggressive and more marketable’. Sometimes a scalpel is used in farms to simply cut off the entire organ painfully while at times the blood supply is cut off using ringed devices to make the organ break apart from the rest of the body and fall off. In some countries as described in this Arab News report, even stray cats are neutered and spayed without general anesthesia as well which leads to immense pain as their sexual organs are removed wide awake. Cats and dogs are prevented from licking wounds or soothing their body with use of preventive collars and cannot describe thier feelings in human language.

When it comes to farmed animals such as baby sheep, goats, pigs, calves, chicken and many others, they are not only painfully mutilated by way of castration, beak clipping, teeth clipping, tail docking, hot iron branding, ear tagging to name a few of the evil procedures, but also gas chambered, anally electrocuted and knifed violently. Their life ends after their enduring very painful physical and psychological torture and trauma without any hospitalisation, kindness, affection or rescue operations by any charity, simply because they are considered slaves, owned by the farmers, raped and bred to be horrifically bled to death.

The fact that even human babies suffer painful mutilations as a result of misinformed and ignorant parents who are religiously brainwashed and unable to think sensibly or have empathy towards their own newborns, is yet another terrible aspect of human society. Sadly circumcision is unquestioned and condoned as a religious choice left upon parents, when it should be widely spoken about and condemned as any kind of child abuse should be.

Violent crimes such as these need to end now which is not possible unless humanity awakens from the darkest states of unconsciousness, apathy and rigid adherence to popular yet senseless traditions that are not only horribly evil but also of no value to us all.

Please share this article far and wide to educate others and save babies and children from the adverse effects of the very widely prevalent yet completely irrational custom of baby genital mutilation.

  • Were Stone Henge and Circles Neolithic Slaughterhouses?

Were Stone Henge and Circles Neolithic Slaughterhouses?

From alien spaceship landing pads to veneration of dead relatives of human beings, marking of the solstices to astronomical forecasts, several explanations of the purpose of erection of massive ancient stone circles and henges have been invented. While Stonehenge at Salisbury, Great Britian enjoys the number one spot in the hall of fame, Avebury follows a close second along with many others across Cornwall, Scotland and globally. If images of solemn gatherings of magical priests at beautiful altars of rituals that healed the planet with love and light upon consipiring with aliens and gods or higher beings come to mind, you might want to stand corrected immediately.

Latest research papers about the famed Neolithic stone circles of U.K. confirm the following as documented in Science Advances journal March 13, 2019 and featured by Live Science video and news reports including the largest published multi-isotopes study using five systems. Pigs were moved several miles from their birthplaces to the Neolithic monuments including areas next to Stonehenge and several other stone circles, where they were then slaughtered en-masse and feasted upon. The study claims that pigs were the main domesticated species of late Neolithic times and gatherings to trap them in massive enclosures and kill them were likely a feature of stone circles.

In another Stone Circle Theory by Simon Hedger it is explained using video and pictures how the theorist experimented with trellis and concluded that the purpose of giant stones at Stone Henge could have been fulfilled by using them to enclose victims sacrificially using something like trellises arranged between stones. Infact we also know that in many cases trenches were dug around the site, which could be also to prevent escape and lead victims to slaughter. No wonder a ‘slaughter stone’ is featured as one of the main stones on Stonehenge itself.

But did you know that stone circles all over the world, some even older than the U.K. ones have been discovered, from Pakistan to Japan, Syria and including those predating Stonehenge of Britain by over 7000 years such as the Turkish Gobekli Tipi? This one at Turkey is a massive collection of stone circles incredibly illustrated over each giant stone with images of animals. Upon examination of the images carved upom each stone it becomes clear that sacrifice and killing of animals is the chief ritual we are talking about. One of the famous stones pillar 43 or vulture stone, has a carving of a larger vulture offering what appears to be the head of a sacrifice victim to a baby vulture, the victim’s body lying below along with a scorpion which of course could be something they additionally used as a weapon for killing. Rows if large hollow arches upon rectangular stones are depicted on top of the stone that could represent the sacrificial altars to hang bodies upon, each one depicting one animal.

As pictographic evidence depicting animal slaughter and not just the usual animal bones are found this time in an even more massive and ancient site than Stonehenge, the purpose of Neolithic stone circles is finally becoming clearer.

In Russia a huge stone circle made entirely of massive animal bones has also been found.

While theories of human sacrifice abound in connection with U.K stone circles, the usual victims are of course animals as with majority of ceremonial religious sites. Ancient Jerusalem is already known to be a great slaughterhouse according to reports stating the economy was powered by animal slaughter supposedly to please their god through burnt offerings by priests who kneeled in blood and remaining dead bodies of victims offered to people to feast upon, numbers speculated to be of over a million animals at a time according to the Talmud, a Jewish religious text. Now are you not glad you are not allowed into the ‘Holy Site’ unless you belong to that land?

Even with the well-known Mecca, the sought-after Islam sacred site with the Kaaba stone, to this date slaughter of countless innocent animals for money and feasting is conducted constantly and everyday. A large black stone features as a main piece of this site for pilgrimage, kissing the stone and circumabulation, by pelting of stones and dragging choicest animal victims for slaughter as the guts of sheep are disposed off cruelly in bloodtained garments and meat delivered to eager pilgrims for feasting.

We all know of the slaughter at Eid of goats and sheep raised and bred for the purpose, even on streets of Asia streming with blood in religious festivals. From Jewish to Muslim, modern Christian, pagan, Wiccan hunting deities, Shamanic ceremonies, Aboriginal rites, and even Vedic festivities and rituals, animal sacrifice has been featured in the top of texts of major religions throughout history and breedings.

Hunting, horrific slaughter and consumption of the victims has been considered holy, sacred and a way to please ‘god’, thank ‘god’ enjoy food to distribute to ‘hungry’ humans and pray for myriad wish-fulfillment or curiously the ‘atonement’ of sins and peace offerings even in the Bible. The entrails of the victims used for divination or augury is another disgusting feature of ancient religious animal sacrifice and spirituality. The discovery that stonehenge and other sacred Neolithic sites were abused by ancient humans to kill other animals or even human animals should come as no surprise.

The next time you feel enchanted by religious stories, myths and stone circle fantasies to spend time in meditation or trance, dance to fancy drums of killed animal skins, and celebrate rituals within these so called sacred pilgrimage cites in Cornwall, Stonehenge or elsewhere, please think again! Do you really feel wonderful and at peace in a place of deadly murder and torture of the poor victims whose bodies were were and infact are still feasted upon? What sort of healing or magical energy are we raising anyways through this?

Every single day in majority of households across the globe sexually abused in jail and horrifically killed, innocent victims are served upon plates of horror as food? How does it really make you feel to now someone felt horrible, pained, suffering and crying for life, trapped and unable to escape the evil blade so calmly rendered amidst empty cheers of jolly and rivers of blood beneath the feet of heartless humans, just for taste?

It is aptly stated by Einstein – “The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.” Please spread the message and share this article over social media to educate others. Let us all go vegan and stay awake, disenchanted by the snare drums of modern religion, ancient myths and new-age ritualism that together have us fooled, entranced and captivated for millenia with their so-called sacred music, ceremonial robes and constant chanting.

  • Simplify Indian Vegan Sweet Dishes using substitutes for Milk Solids

Simplify Indian Vegan Sweet Dishes using substitutes for Milk Solids

A large number of Indians are lacto-vegetarian and refuse to consume animal meat or eggs for sparing the lives of animals, and still refuse to go vegan for love of dairy which is completely unnatural.

No animal except for human animal consumes breastmilk of another animal and continues feeding on breastmilk beyond infancy stage of life. As a result humans have awful diseases that are often unique to human kind. From the well known cancers to the unusual disease of varicose vein – we can trace them to dairy consumption. Yet, we humans love utilising dairy products instead of plant produce. The healthiest of us might be raw vegans or frugivore. Yet, when it comes to taste of certain cultural delicacies such as khoya based milk sweets and mewa items from India, we hardly find anything other than dairy milk sweets everywhere around us – proudly labelled as ‘dairy’ – even though it is a product of tremendous torture, grief and apathy.

Dairy = beef and leather and it is time we popularised alternatives for dairy among our otherwise compassionate Indian vegetarian friends.

Soak soyabeans for 2 to 4 hours or overnight and lightly boil them for 2 minutes and let it be cold so that the skin comes out when you rub your hands on the beans and separate the skin. Then use a blender to make a fine paste and mix enough water and blend to prepare a milky liquid of desired consistency. Boil the milk and strain using muslin cloth. Plenty of plant milk solids or mawa or khoya will be left in the cloth for use in carrot halwa or any other pudding.

For instance, for Gajar Halwa I used carrots shredded within seconds in a food processor sweetened with vegan sugar and sauted with carrots in an electric slow cooker for merely 5 to 10 minutes. You can add resins, chopped almonds and plant milk solids for garnishing.

You can also mix soya solids with your chosen spices or masala and wheat, potato, any diced or minced vegetables to make nice parathas, crisp vegan nuggets, vegan burgers, vegan sausages and bhajias.

The strained plant milk of course will be very clean and not like the dirty animal milk full of germs and poo of animals and will not cause diabetes and heart disease either, as plant matter has zero cholesterol.

You can also separate the warm milk using half a lemon and strain the whey out for pressing tofu in a muslin cloth insted of using paneer (Indian cottage cheese). Tofu is packed with protein and lacks the diseases caused by dairy cheeses and paeneer.

Most importantly you carry no bad karma from abuse of innocent animals who are made into beef and leather later on after repeated impregnation through sexual abuse for milk extraction.

    Sounds good enough to me!

Imagine breeding a cow in captivity, feeding her unnaturally and injecting her drugs and hormones till she is capable for early reproduction and excessive milk production, impregnating her forcefully, taking away her newborn, milking her unnaturally swollen painful and mastitis infected udders, killing the male baby cruelly using a shotgun or knife, repeating the whole process every 9 months for the abused cow to be repeatedly impregnated year after year until she can take it no more and dies early or is killed with knife in her throat as she is hoisted upside down when her milk production declines, raising the female babies into the same cycle of repetetive sexual abuse and rape and then killing them after overmilking. Moreover large forests are razed to ground for cattle rearing that also leads to land shortage, water shortage and grain shortage due to breeding and feeding of animals.

Is it not much simpler, more ethical and energy efficient to milk beans or nuts instead?

From soya to oats to rice, cashews to almonds, peanuts to hemp we have numerous plant milk, curd, yogurt and cheese alternatives. We know that dairy is possibly the biggest evil on our planet. Plant milk products can be easily prepared even at home and do not devastate the planet to the extent dairy does.

Then why is it that we find such few dairy-free and vegan alternatives to traditional Indian sweets and dairy products in local shops all over the country of India where ‘ahimsa’ or non-violence is one of the primary three constitutional pillars?

The video linked below exposes the reality of dairy farms in India. Please share and spread the awareness among your Indian friends and relatives and refuse to purchase dairy products.

Let us practice ‘ahimsa’ and eradicate the lacto-vegetarian myth once and for all.

  • Ban the Breeding and Slaughter of Innocent Animals for Food

Ban the Breeding and Slaughter of Innocent Animals for Food

    https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/556039/

We believe Animal Farming and Fishing are inherently abusive industries where sentient, innocent and gentle beings are treated totally inhumanely. Plant-based and lab cell technology means that there is absolutely no need to breed or slaughter sentient animals.

Breeding of animals often involves forced and repeated impregnation and artificial insemination, control over a gentle being’s entire life, taking away their free will, and removing their offspring to be kept in captivity or slaughtered.

The way the industry operates has been termed as rape and murder by some animal rights organisations. There is clear recorded evidence in the UK documentary Land of Hope and Glory. Please end these unnecessary, violent practices.

  • Six Ways to Free Yourself from Domestic Abuse

Six Ways to Free Yourself from Domestic Abuse

In the human world one of the most common crimes is also one of the most underreported ones. Domestic Abuse. Primarily associated with partner crimes and violence against women and children, domestic abuse is common in almost every nation of the world as a gender liked crime, although sometimes men claim to be victims too.

Most of the times cultural norms and family expectations force people to be mute witnesses and victims, having little or no way to escape once in a domestically abusive family situation. So how does one free oneself from the dramas:

    1. Being Aware: In schools and colleges we learn a lot of things but not always those things that matter. We are infact abused and controlled throughout our schoolage by parents, teachers and relatives and for most of our lives we remain unaware of the fact that we have been abused. For example control and coercion is not always recognised as abuse although it is fairly common. We are taught about academic subjects that help us join the workforce and contribute to the economy and not necessarily those things that help us evolve into better humans, such as self respect, respect to others, consensual sex, sexual and reproductive freedom, human rights and child rights. We all need to complete basic education and courses such as The Freedom Program. Learn about all aspects of domestic abuse, its signs and symptoms such as economic abuse, financial control, dowry, forced marriage, mental harassment, sexual control and coercion, physical violence, emotional abuse, blackmailing, threatening, turning children against you, revenge through cross allegations made once you report crimes, blaming, denial and minimising abuse, lack of empathy and physical or mental control.
    2. Learn about Laws: Laws concerning gender, crimes, domestic abuse and marital rape differ from nation to nation. In some countries such as India marital rape is still not illegal. On some countries such as those in middle east, women are punished for simply refusing to cover up their body or face or flogged. Hence the laws themselves abuse women and control them in ghastly ways. Depending on the country you live in you can decide to educate yourself of the laws and if they are regressive you can find ways to leave the country through higher education and start new chapter or find support in gaining some independence. Activism and joining movements to liberate other victims like you can help create social change. Human laws are impermanent and can be altered to evolve with times. Writing to government agencies and ministries and signing petitions can also help in initiating change through advocacy.
    3. Be Independent: Financially and emotionally women and taught to have a man in their life and get married in many cultures. These are the same cultures that value childbirth and use women for reproduction and as sexual slaves or domestic workers within marriage. Household chores, childminding and sex are the roles attributed to women in these societies where marriage is highly respectable and being a mother is seen as the highest role for a woman, especially producing a male child. It is time to shun such conventions. If marital rape and domestic abuse are norms in your country then it is advisable not to get married in such a culture or with a man from this kind of an upbringing and to focus on career or personal and sexual freedom. Women more often than men are not always interested in sexual subjugation and physical relationships, and value deeply emotional connections instead of sexual ones. In human world, unlike rest of nature women have considerable bleeding in periods and PMS although other species have very little or no bleeding. We are also forced to mate more often than needed as per our once a month ovulation cycles would normally permit and to continue being sexually active even after menopause. This is because of the ‘matrix’ brainwashing women through media to be sexual beings in service of men who control them making them feel stressed, feel less in power of their inner self and disconnected from nature.
    4. Spirituality: It might seem off the topic but having an interest in spiritual rather than physical, material and sexual aspects of life can be very liberating from a karmic perspective. Being engrossed in relationship entanglements, family dramas, property battles and children will not allow us to meditate and develop our ascended powers. New age, occult and tantric ideologies sometimes confuse us to follow a ‘balanced’ path of material, spiritual, sexual and sensual enjoyment as a part of new age spirituality. This is simply another trap in the matrix that wants to control us and keep us entangled in daily life maya. The path of ascetic spirituality is a celibate path and not one of sensual temptation that is simply the matrix controlling us and creating illusions in the hologram through five senses. Once we are domesticated it becomes very difficult to seek liberation from the matrix as we are continually forced to earn money, follow conventional lifestyles and live for our children who are forced to grow up in the same system of the matrix as we did instead of learing off the grid, spiritual and eco-conscious ways of life.
    5. Visualise and Manifest: Your mind creates your own illusion of life and by thinking and visualising a certain situation you put energy and intention into it. However you also need to clear and cleanse the negative programs in the background, in your chakras and in your inner energy field where your memories, emotions and karmic baggage is stored. Very important is to get rid of the false ideologies that keep you engrossed in victimhood, ideas about ‘being compassionate towards abusers’, ‘accepting people and continue being with them’, ‘making peace with your circumstances and accepting the way things are as unchangeable’, ‘trying to meditate and stay calm if someone is abusing you’, ‘being vulnerable’, ‘allowing people to be themselves around you and do as they will even if they harm you or others’, ‘showing your other cheek’, ‘forgive and forget’, ‘unconditional love of others and not yourself’, ‘giving not receiving’, ‘visualising that others have changed instead of visualising a change in your situation’ and so on. These false beliefs do not serve us.
    6. Establish evidence: Domestic abuse agencies, police, social workers, media articles as well as training programs will always encourage you to report crimes and ‘come out with it’. This is sadly not something that always results in your being supported as a ‘victim’ once you report the crimes. The police and courts will want evidence of crimes and this is not just your reports or that of your children who are witness or victims. The law demands third party witnesses who have directly seen crimes and recorded evidence in most cases that are very difficult to obtain because they happen behind closed doors. If you just run away after reporting domestic abuse or rape, you are liable to suffer the hardships of legal battles over child custody and property later on unless you reach an out of court settlement with the abuser which is impossible if they are of unreasonable behavior and selfish as may be their family members. Hence in many cases you need to collect photographs of injuries or use spy cameras wherever possible and also talk to neighbours, medical professionals and family friends so that they can report incidents overheard or seen by them promptly as soon as they take place else the same will not be accepted if delayed by a long period of time. If there is no evidence the only way to be free yourself is to remove yourself from the unhealthy relationship where you can never be found again by the culprit and change your identity which is not always possible if you are a public person or have an established business or career and not enough support in moving away. Even if you do go to a refuge or take support of relatives, you still risk the prospect of stalking and harassment once abusers try to find your whereabouts using law, especially if you have a child they have parental responsibility of.

Here are some modern technologies that can assist you in evidencing this heinous crime and being free from a legal and long term perspective which can help limitedly based on the laws of your land.

  • Post Pandemic: Lessons from Covid-19

    Post Pandemic: Lessons from Covid-19

With Covid-19 and relaxing of lockdowns, we all have simply adjusted to the ‘new normal’ as cities plan to crawl back to life and public begins to move again. Everyone wants to wash hands and wear masks, but is this all we have learnt? What about the root cause of the epidemics and infections, how can we get rid of this problem from the root and clean up our planet for good? Why are we letting the authorities and media sweep the truth under the rug and exploit it merely to sell more masks, drugs and vaccines to us?

Here are the top six sources of infections we need to learn and educate others about, so please feel free to copy and share this post widely:

    1. Droplets: Droplets from humans are a major source of infection, masks are necessary. simply because all the germs from animal farms and animal foods have been absorbed into humans and most people are infected already. These germs started spreading widely over 11000 years ago with advent of animal farming (besides garbage), and have mutated to the extent we don’t even realize that now they are no longer linked with animals and spread from human to humans. Each time we talk to someone or are next to someone there can be a droplet infection, for example on our dinner tables, in cafes, in parks or home and masks help only to a limited extent. But droplets are not the only source. It is also our water, air, soil …and our diet that is heavily infected. Sure we get immune to infections with time, but that is not right, we should be doing someting to clean our society up and not just absorb all the negativity continually as the ‘normal’ and ‘new normal’.

    2. Diet: Not living with someone who consumes dairy and animal products = huge improvements in health. Less sneezing, coughing, fevers, infections..those who praactice know how it feels. Reduced interaction with neighbours or friends who consume animal products is similarly beneficial as some of us personally have witnessed during lockdown. However even in vegan households, children still bring in the germs once in a while as they attend school, play outside or if neighbors who are infected come over, as most people around are still consuming dairy and killed animals. Even the smell of dairy and animal meats is repulsive and rotten – they attract flies and they spoil very fast. No-one should be consuming them, but we have lost our senses and intuition. Our obviously harmful consumer products are not only dairy and meats, but also other food items – candies, colas, animal gelatin sweets made of dead cows and pig bones, insect poop shellac, and pet food.

    3. Pet food: ‘Animal lovers’ we call ourselves. but imagine feeding our pets and stray animals with all that processed garbage – slaughterhouse waste, and thinking we are helping animals. Even walking in the pet food aisle, dairy or meat aisle in a supermarket is a health hazard, not to menton offensive to moral sensibilities. But we do not speak about it and remain polite. We use animals for food and for our enjoyment by separating them from their parent and taking them home as pets, breeding them and buying them, and in turn we feed them animal products too causing even more suffering and health problems

    3. Water: Did you know all our waters, rivers, seas, everywhere are full of animal poo and blood as well as toxic waste from slaughterhouses, covered up and laced with chemicals to change its appearance and smell. We dump all kinds of waste in water and take away life. It is unimagninably cruel yet we call fishing a sport teaching children to hook and choke animals and watch them suffocate in pain. Close to 80 billion land animals are waiting in slaughter lines each year – this is a lot more than current human population? And all that poo and blood goes into the water. Not only is it morally wrong and mentally disturbing, it is also hidden from public sight. And what about our fish and sea creatures? Killed, bred, fished and slaughtered for food are trillions of sea animals every year, and yet we only hear about plastic killing our sea life.

    4. Air: Is it really air we are breathing, or is it the nitrogen and germs from animal farms? Even if you go near a small shop where chicken, meat or dead fish are sold, you get a very horrible smell – the air is unbreathable. Even if you have a small pet you know the s uniquemell, of a feathered bird or furry friend. You know te smell of urine and feces. Imagine 80 billion of these animals are in farms right now…waiting to be killed any moment. We do not see them..so we do not care? There are so many coronaviruses, not just SARS, MERS, but even our common cold and flus all floating about continually, all over the planet – and our air is no longer fit to breathe.

    5. Soil: Animal poo manure, blood and bones from animal farms is mixed with soil and it is toxic, full of hazardous germs from infected, very ill, suffering animals, along with their hormones and antibiotics too. We worry about the chemicals from pesticides and fertilizers and GMOs – and we have no idea of how dangerous animal manure is to us. Human feces and animal feces, all have countless germs. All our fruits and vegetables even if organic are not safe to consume althoutgh vegan – because they are not veganic. All the urine and poo as well as eggshells, blood and bones of animals have gone into it. In veganic farming we would use plant nutrients only to feed soil to grow vegetables and fruit – but it is rarely practiced. Instead we have e-coli, salmonella, ebola, rotaviruses…coming into our homes.

    6. Soap and Gels: We need to wash our hands but please do not use animal products to do so. Our soaps, shampoos, medicines, santitizer gels, handwashes – all are filled with very disgusting animal slaughter waste. All the unwanted body parts that noone can buy as food, are sold to us by the trillions each month, because the animal industry does not want to waste those body parts, internal organs and blood – they use them in medicine, cosmetics, household cleaners, sprays and personal care items. Is it possible to get healthier and cleaner by using dead animals toxic waste? Yet, we are so foolish we will buy anything sold to us cheap in plastic bottles That is why they need all those chemicals and disinfectants – poisons to neutralize the stinking substances and dead meat in our day to day soaps, gels and medicines.

Killing even one being who can feel pain is murder, no matter how nicely it is done. rape of even one female or of a male is rape, whether they be human or pig, chicken, cows, bulls, stags, dog, cats or any other creature bred in animal industries. Yet people argue with those who protest and even when our planet is choking to death, riddled with disease and climate change, we do not care. But more importantly there is murder and rape happening right now not only of humans but in dairy and animal industries, to an extent we cannot imagine, to other innocent creatures who feel everything like we do, and all for our consumption of food and products we do not actually need. Why are we not unifying against this and speaking up on a daily basis until the while world hears our plea?

We should not have to educate people about the germs caused due to this. When a human is killed we do not talk about how many germs are caused, we talk about the morality of the act. But in case of animals of other species, even if it causes death and disease to humans, we do not care…we argue about our rights to consume, we argue about humane killing and more ‘compassionate’ farming, we argue about how to make animal agriculture ‘sustainable’ and ‘local’, or about its economic value as an industry, or about jobs lost if it ends, or about consumer demand. 16 Signs of Narcisstic Pattern of Abuse – by Melanie Howarth

Naricisstic abuse is a phenomena that a lot of us are hearing about off late but it has been a fact of life since millenia. In this article Melaine Howarth, reputed tarot expert who counsels individuals over Tarot and Tea (psychic and healing services), gives us a few pointers to help us distance ourselves permanently from narcissistic abusers by recognising these entwined patterns.

Narcissism is a trait, the term being inspired by the Greek myth of Narcissus who was in love with his own reflection in water. Narcisisstic abuse on the other hand is about narcissists using other people emotionally and manipulatively towards their own self-serving agenda of drawing all sympathy and attention towards themselves.

Empaths, healers and kind or compassionate people often are highly attractive to Narcissistic Abusers who present themseves as needing the empathy they demand. When you get drawn into their drama, using a variety of tactics, narcisstic Abusers drain their victims out to focus entirely on themselves and their own myriad needs, sometimes in conjunction with other forms of abuse. These tactics are not limited to the following:

    1. Forced Intimacy: Usually at the beginning of a relationship, a person who is a Narcissistic Abuser might want to force themselves upon you, mentally, emotionally and at times using physical intimacy. They might begin the relationship by immediately declaring their affections or love, or expecting you to accept them completely and unconditionally at their sudden, persistent and intimate demands for affection.
    2. Oversharing: They could since the start of the association, share all about their childhood, their previous rejections and emotional hurts, and their life history or family traumas to secure sympathy from you. Be forewarned that if they are complaining about their ex partners or previous interests to you in the beginning, then you might be the next person they will complain about once you begin to move away from them.
    3. Future Faking: Tall promises may be projected by Narcissists to their prospective partners, often convincing you that they will be the ideal person to fulfil your dreams and ambitions, and making you comfortable with an imaginary future where you will be secure and fulfilling all your goals and desires with them.
    4. Triangulation: In case you ever express any loss of confidence in them, they will try to bring in another person, which need may or may not be another romantic interest. For example it could be another member of their family, or a friend, in an attempt to make you feel insecure. They will use this other person to make you feel that you need to vie for their attention or prove your affection, as there is someone else who supports them entirely and you will feel like your are judged.
    5. Managing Down Expectations: Once the relationship is mid-way if you feel that you are losing out on your life goals and plans, and not paying attention to your own needs, they will try to make you feel content with having less of whatever you had initially planned for in your life. They will justify you having to live with them or being part of their life even if it is directly or indirectly harmful to your abundance and best interest.
    6. Shock Tactics: To get more energy and attention from you, especially when you are returning to your senses or trying to move away from them, they will use shock tactics, for example threatening self harm or suicide, or displaying that they are in pain, or showering a lot of false concern. They may also try to gain your respect and gratitude by suddenly declaring something positive so that you gratify them. They will exhibit sudden behaviors that shock you so that you have no idea how to react, and get confused.
    7. Love Bombing: On one hand narcissistic abusers will gratify themselves and make you feel drained, on the other hand they will, in case you try to move away from them, bestow you with flowers, gifts or intimacy when you expect it the least so that you stop waking up from their manipulation and get overwhelmed with their sudden care and concern to yourself, no matter how shortlived.
    8. Plausible Deniablility: Complete denial of all their negative behavior and the possibility that they are at fault is a common factor in narcissistic abuse. These abusers deeply lack empathy towards others and never acknowledge or understand how their behavior affects those who are their victims. They are more likely to blame you instead of accepting their own guilt at any point of time.
    9. Distraction Reaction: Distract, confuse, disorient are the three words that underlie the manipulative urge to control you. The moment you start seeing through them, they suddenly express something that makes you focus on something else entirely so that least attention is given to the important issue of the abuse you are facing, and all attention instead goes to a non-issue that pops up out of nowhere.
    10. Gas Lighting: Telling you that you are crazy, mentally ill, that something is inherently wrong with you, your family members, your child, or another issue that is completely false and yet brought to attention is a tactic used by Narcissist abuser. More often than not, they succeed in gas-lighting you or others by making a convicing propositon based on a false premise so that you feel as if something is actually wrong with you or your supporting family or friends so that you get isolated and shamed.
    11. Guilt Tripping: Making you feel bad about wanting to leave them, making you feel like a terrible person, someone who is not nice to them, lacking ’empathy’ to them, not being supportive, caring or loving enough to them, accusing that you are hurting them, and other forms of strong emotional blackmail is used by narcissistic abusers to keep you from going away.
    12. Confidence Erosion: To reduce your self-importance, narcisstic abusers state things that are negative about you and indicte that you are a ‘loser’, ‘bankrupt’, ‘unsuccessful in life’ and by making you feel worthless by name calling. Your confidence may also be at an all time low simply because your life has indeed been harmed by their overwhelming, all-mighty and omnipresent behavior, they make you as dependent on them as possible and ensure you have no faith left in yourself.
    13. Silent Treatment/ Abandonment: At times when you expose your vulnerabilities, in an attempt to control you, narcissistic abusers will stop talking, show how cold they are, withdraw their symapthy, and leave you to yourself when you may be ill, needing comfort or in pain, or when you express any difficulties with the relationship. It wil feel as if you do not exist at times and your efforts do not matter as you remain unheard.
    14. Victim Mentality: The best defense is offense, seems to be the tactic of Narcissistic Abusers. They will declare to the whole world that they are the victims and you are the one who was actually guity of causing harm to them. They will blame you in every possible way, by showing that you are the abusive partner and even call you a narcissist instead of accepting that you are their victim and they are at fault. They will also declare themselves as mentally depressed, suicidal, in trauma due to your behavior or pretend to be physically hurt by you and complain about your behavior.
    15. Hoovering: Naricssistic Abusers want you to be as trapped as possible and as comfortable and used to their constant presence in your life, so that it is impossible to escape. They will be around you as much as they can if they feel you are moving away and try to monitor your movements.
    16. Control and Control Validation: Not only will Narcissistic Abusers control your psychologically and emotionally using manipulations, lies, melodrama and acting-out, they will also justify their behaviors. For example if they check your emails or intrude upon your social media activities, they may state that they are doing this to protect you, not allowing you to meet others as you are naive and they are keeping you safe from harm. Iterfering in your business or private matters will be justified by saying they are caring, or that you are physically or mentally ill and need their support. As such they will make you feel as controlled, isolated and helpless as possible and get away with it by saying that they are justified in doing so.

The only way to be safe from the dangers of Narcissistic Abuse is to completely cut off from these individuals, to have no contact whatsoever, and to seek therapy and counselling to make sense of what happened to you. The key to your freedom is to be able to move on without being lured back into fulfilling the endless pit of demands of narcissistic abusers.

  • Veganism vs Coronaviruses and Other Human Diseases: Part 2

Veganism vs Coronaviruses and Other Human Diseases: Part 2

Last week in the first part of this article, we examined a review of approximately 25 scientific research studies and papers to elucidate how animal farming has led to the plethora of degenarative diseases and pathogenic conditions, including the deadly coronaviruses affecting the world today.

A ban on wild animal markets is certainly called for worldwide at the moment, but what about the equally deadly farm animal products supply chain that takes many more lives, including millions of humans, billions of land animals and trillions of sea animals?

Humans die prematurely not only due to ailments caused by direct consumption of meat, eggs and dairy, such as cancers, heart diseases and diabetes, but also due to indirectly contracted influenzas and pathogens by airborne or watreborne contaminants, and due to world hunger which is caused by animal farming too. Large amounts of foodgrains are fed to captive animals being grown and killed to feed the tastebuds of the elite while poor children suffer. In this research paper it is argued that ‘diets that include animal products produce more negative GHIs (global hunger index) than vegan diets. A wide range of diet-related negative GHIs could be reduced significantly if current agriculture was transformed into a predominantly vegan agricultural system’ (Animal (De)liberation: Should the Consumption of Animal Products Be Banned? – Jan Deckers 2016).

While the number of diseases linked with animal farming might be countless, and we explored infections, influenzas, coronaviruses, BLV, cancers , thyroid and respiratory diseases, coronary ailments, arthiritis in the previous article, here are a few more worth noting:

    1. Infections from Manure: Not only do meat, egg and dairy expose us to infections of stomach and urinary tract, vegans are also calling or more veganic farming, which eliminates use of animal manure and animal blood or bones in vegetable plantations. As noted in a research report on environmental health, ‘It is quite unrealistic to enumerate all the microbial pathogens present in cattle manure because of the huge numbers of these pathogens that populate the gastrointestinal tract and the other systems in the animal. Agricultural animals, including cattle produce copious quantities of animal manure consisting of animal excreta (feces and urine) along with bedding, microorganisms, process-generated wastewater, secretions (nose, throat, blood, vagina, mammary glands, skin and placenta), undigested and spilled feed, antibiotics, nutrients and fur.’ (An Overview of the Control of Bacterial Pathogens in Cattle Manure, Christy E. Manyi-Loh, Sampson N. Mamphweli, Edson L. Meyer, Golden Makaka, Michael Simon, Anthony I. Okoh, Int J Environ Res Public Health. 2016 Sep; 13). In short along with the Vitamin B12 and other nutrients from animal products such as dairy, eggs, meat and manure, we also risk ingesting other secretions and fecus which are highly pathogenic.
    2. Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (Mad Cow Disease): BSE also called mad-cow disease, is a dealy prionic infection acquired by cows by way of feeding them slaughtered remains of other killed cattle. BSE was subsequently transmitted to humans, causing new variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (nvCJD). A task force here has been studying cases of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD), an incurable malady of the brain and nervous system that has been linked to eating beef or other products from cattle infected with bovine spongiform encephalopathy or “mad cow disease. (Balter M. Epidemiology. Tracking the human fallout from ‘mad cow disease’. Science. 2000 Sep 1)
    3. Brucellosis (Malta/ Mediterranean fever): A detailed report states that, ‘Brucellosis is one of the most common contagious and communicable zoonotic diseases with high rates of morbidity and lifetime sterility as well as abortions., arthiritis, coughs, fever and neural problems. The infection of Brucella species is commonly mediated by direct contact with the placenta, fetus, fetal fluids, and vaginal discharges or byproducts (e.g., milk, meat, and cheese) from infected animals. The enlarged udder size (appearance of the 9th month of a pregnant cow) could be used as an indication for the high stage of the disease, where animals shed bacteria in urine, milk, and vaginal discharges. Brucellosis has been reported in 86 different countries worldwide and is a serious threat not only to livestock but also to human health globally. (Muhammad Zahoor Khan, Muhammad Zahoor Trop Med Infect Dis. 2018 Jun)
    4. Toxoplasmosis: Two forms of T. gondii are infectious, the tissue cyst which is found in raw or undercooked meat and the oocyst which is present in the feces of the domestic cat. According to research infection by Toxoplasma gondii is thought to affect approximately one-third of the adult human population.’ (Halonen SK, Weiss LM. Toxoplasmosis. Handb Clin Neurol. 2013)
    5. Eye/ Ocular disease: Studies in South-east Asia found that certain eye infections, Gnathostoma spinigerum are common in humans and due to ingestion of contaminated fish, pork, chicken, frog, or snake. Contaminated meat contains third-stage larvae, and upon ingestion, the larvae penetrate the viscera and travel to internal organs and subcutaneous tissue. (Daengsvang S. Gnathostomiasis in Southeast Asia. Southeast Asian J Trop Med Public Health. 1981 Sep)
    6. Parasitic Worms: Helminth is a general term for a parasitic worm. The helminths include the Platyhelminthes or flatworms (flukes and tapeworms) and the Nematoda or roundworms.  Larvae are contained in the tissues of the intermediate host and are taken in when a human eats that host, Clonorchis in fish, tapeworms in meat and fish, Trichinella in meat. (Wakelin D. Helminths: Pathogenesis and Defenses. In: Baron S, editor. Medical Microbiology. 4th edition. Galveston (TX): University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston; 1996. Chapter 87)
    7. Type 1 Diabetes: In a study on Casein milk protein and Type 1 diabetes among children, researchers presented evidence that A1 β-casein cows’ milk protein is a primary causal trigger of type 1 diabetes in individuals with genetic risk factors. (J S J Chia, J L McRae, S Kukuljan, K Woodford, R B Elliott, B Swinburn, K M Dwyer Nutr Diabetes. 2017 May). Another research on Type 1 diabetes in high risk children, doscovered that at three months of age, infants who had been fed cows’ milk had a significantly higher immune response to bovine insulin than did infants who received an alternative formula or were breast fed. (Gottlieb S. Early exposure to cows’ milk raises risk of diabetes in high risk children. BMJ. 2000)
    8. AIDS: In a report on diseases of wildlife and threats to human health, it is stated that. ‘the emergence of HIV is believed to have arisen from hunting of nonhuman primates for food in central African forests.’ (Daszak P, Cunningham AA, Hyatt AD. Clearly exploitation and killing of animals for food is a primary cause of some of the most deadly diseases in the world.

      Science. 2000 Jan 21)

    9. Rabies: While a risk of rabies transmitted to humans by dogs might have reduced, new research explains that, ‘human rabies transmitted by wildlife, mostly by bats is a risk to inhabitants in many countries. Transmission of rabies by vampire bats to cattle and humans was associated with forest activities in South America.’ (Belotto A, Leanes LF, Schneider MC, Tamayo H, Correa E. Overview of rabies in the Americas. Virus Res. 2005 Jul)
    10. Acne: Milk is meant to increase the growth of calves, it naturally contains growth hormones and anabolic steroids, detrimental to human health. Scientific research on Acne has found that a western diet being dairy rich contributes to acne. (Danby FW. Clin Dermatol. 2010 Nov-Dec;28). This may also explain the onset of acne in adolesence for most people and hence dairy as a causative factor.
    11. Eczema: In a study on egg and cows’ milk exclusion diet linked with antigen-avoidance, majority of children who avoided eggs and dairy and received soya substitutes instead of dairy benefited positively. (Atherton DJ, Sewell M, Soothill JF, Wells RS, Chilvers CE. A double-blind controlled crossover trial of an antigen-avoidance diet in atopic eczema. Lancet. 1978 Feb 25)
    12. Dermatitis:  In a study exploring diet and dermatological conditions of Seborrheic dermatitis (distinguished by dandruff, cradle cap, seborrheaseborrheic eczema, and seborrheic psoriasis) on 4,379 participants comparing vegetable, Western, fat-rich and frut dietary patterns,  the fruit pattern was associated with a 25% lower risk and the Western pattern with a 47% increased risk. (Sanders MGH, Pardo LM, Ginger RS, Kiefte-de Jong JC, Nijsten T. J Invest Dermatol. 2019 Jan)
    13. Skin Cancers: In a comparitive study between meat and dairy/ fat rich diet and a diet of fruits and vegetables including green leaves, the meat and fat pattern was positively associated with development of SCC tumors. A higher consumption of the vegetable and fruit dietary pattern appeared to decrease SCC tumor risk by 54%. (Ibiebele TI, van der Pols JC, Hughes MC, Marks GC, Williams GM, Green AC.

Am J Clin Nutr. 2007 May)

    14. Stress, Anxiety and Mood Disorders: A study comparing vegan, vegeraian and omnivore diets found reduction of animal food intake may have mood benefits. (Vegans report less stress and anxiety than omnivores. Beezhold B, Radnitz C, Rinne A, DiMatteo J. Nutr Neurosci. 2015 Oct)
    15. Schizophrenia: An international analysis found that a higher national dietary intake of refined sugar and dairy products predicted a worse 2-year outcome of schizophrenia (Peet M. Br J Psychiatry. 2004 May). Another analysis of twenty-two cross-sectional studies reported on the relationship between dietary intake of fruits and vegetables and psychosis. Of these 20 studies found lower vegetable and fruit intake is linked with psychosis and one determined that increase in this intake can reverse psychosis. (Aucoin M, LaChance L, Cooley K, Kidd S: Diet and Psychosis: A Scoping Review. Neuropsychobiology 2020;79:20-42. doi: 10.1159/000493399)

In short whether, physical health, infections or mental health, veganism and an elimination of all animal exploitation is not only tremendously beneficial from an ethical perspective, it is also as beneficial to human health and for the wellbeing of the planet as a whole.

The need to rapidly eliminate animal farming and expolitation of farm animals on an emergency basis cannot be overstated. Not only that we need also to stop needless domestication of animals or their use in farms, for entertainment, in zoos, as pets, as research subject, for animal testing, their use as slaves, or in any way that is unnecessary to leave them in their natural habitats, and to return earth to its natural state. Thirdly we need to switch to veganic farming methods and replace the use of animal products and manure entirely as soon as we can to heal our planet and eliminate suffering of both humans and animals.

  • Veganism vs Coronaviruses and Other Human Diseases

Veganism vs Coronaviruses and Other Human Diseases

Animal agriculture and trading is not only making our planet sick environmentally through large scale deforestation, food and water misuse, global warming and pollution of our land, water and air, it is also at the root of most diseases, from Cancer, Heart Ailments, Diabetes, Arthiritis, Thyroid problems, Stomach Ailments to Bacterial and Viral Infections including deadly Coronaviruses. We have already seen the global ramifications of Covid-19 in a short period of time, said to originate in the animal and seafood market in Wuhan, China. While this led to the Chinese government banning wildlife trading for now,  this is not enough, because pathogens are spread due to our exploitation of farm animals, seafood, pets and not just wildlife trade.

It is not mere physical disease, but also mental health that is grossly affected by our senseless practice of animal farming. Controlling, confining, selling, buying, breeding, hybridising, sexually abusing, caging, stealing from, hurting, mentally, emotionally and physically torturing and killing others, and justifying these acts for economic, social, nutrition, taste or habitual reasons could only be a sign of a very sick society. With the way this level of crime against others is normalised in the name of farming, it is no wonder that crimes such as theft, abuse, rape, murder and terrorism do not surprise ordinary human beings even when inflicted within members of our own species.

Even if we focus primarily on physical evidence of human suffering due to animal agriculture, we have thousands of research studies to confirm the same. According to several research studies animal exploitation is the leading cause of infectious diseases, for instance a leading study states the following: current information suggests that 8 of the 15 temperate diseases probably or possibly reached humans from domestic animals (diphtheria, influenza A, measles, mumps, pertussis, rotavirus, smallpox, tuberculosis); three more probably reached us from apes (hepatitis B) or rodents (plague, typhus); and the other four (rubella, syphilis, tetanus, typhoid) came from still-unknown sources. Thus, the rise of agriculture starting 11,000 years ago played multiple roles in the evolution of animal pathogens into human pathogens (). Those roles included both generation of the large human populations necessary for the evolution and persistence of human crowd diseases, and generation of large populations of domestic animals, with which farmers came into much closer and more frequent contact than hunter/gatherers had with wild animals. Moreover, as illustrated by influenza A, these domestic animal herds served as efficient conduits for pathogen transfers from wild animals to humans, and in the process may have evolved specialized crowd diseases of their own.’ (Wolfe ND, Dunavan CP, Diamond J. ORIGINS OF MAJOR HUMAN INFECTIOUS DISEASES. In: Institute of Medicine (US). Improving Food Safety Through a One Health Approach: Workshop Summary. Washington (DC): National Academies Press (US), 2012)

In this paper on Livestock zoonoses, it is discussed that ’60 per cent of all known infectious agents are zoonotic (), it is estimated that approximately 75 per cent of ‘new’ human pathogens reported in the past 25 years have originated in animals and the risk of zoonoses is predicted to continue to increase (). Infectious diseases are remarkably difficult to eliminate and only smallpox virus has formally been eradicated. (Fiona M. Tomley, Martin W. Shirley, Philos Trans R Soc Lond B Biol Sci. 2009 Sep 27)

Similarly agriculture related research indicates that ‘a majority of viruses emerge from zoonotic animal reservoirs, often by adapting and infecting intermediate hosts, such as domestic animals and livestock. Viruses that are known foodborne threats include hepatitis E virus, tick-borne encephalitis virus, enteroviruses, adenovirus, and astroviruses, among others. Viruses may potentially evolve and emerge as a result of modern agricultural practices which can concentrate livestock and bring them into contact with wild animals. Examples of viruses that have emerged in this manner are influenza, coronaviruses such as severe acute respiratory syndrome and Middle East respiratory syndrome, and the Nipah virus. The role of bats, bush meat, rodents, pigs, cattle, and poultry as reservoirs from which infectious pathogenic viruses emerge are discussed.’ (Kingsley DH. Microbiol Spectr. 2016 Aug).

According to another study, ‘controlling disease due to pathogens that move between animals and humans has been challenging. Such zoonotic pathogens have been responsible for the majority of new human disease threats and a number of recent international epidemics. Currently, our surveillance systems often lack the ability to monitor the human–animal interface for emergent pathogens.’ The paper examines gastroentistinal, cutanous, pulmonary, cardioavascular, neurological and systemic human diseases linked with cattle farming and identified 45 pathogens. (Clinton J. McDaniel, Diana M. Cardwell, Robert B. Moeller, Jr., Gregory C. Gray, Vector Borne Zoonotic Dis. 2014 Jan 1).

Another research assessed 56 zoonoses, together responsible for around 2.5 billion cases of human illness, and 2.7 million human deaths a year. (Grace, Delia & Mutua, Florence & Ochungo, Pamela & Kruska, R. & Jones, Kate & Brierley, Liam & Lapar, Ma. Lucila & Said, M. & Herrero, Mario & Pham-Duc, Phuc & Tao, N. & Akuku, Isaiah & Ogutu, Fredrick. (2012). Mapping of poverty and likely zoonoses hotspots. Zoonoses Project. 4. 1-119.)

Here are just some of the diseases we can prevent by elimination of animal farming and switching to a ethical vegan lifestyle.

    1. Influenza: According to a leading research report ‘Our knowledge indicates that the intermittent pandemics of influenza originate from influenza viruses or gene segments from influenza viruses in lower animals and birds. These pandemics can be mild to catastrophic. (Webster RG. Vaccine. 2002 May).
Spanish flu 1918–1920 H1N1 China origin 40–50 million deaths
Asian flu 1957–1958 H2N2 China origin 1–2 million deaths
Hong Kong flu 1968–1970 H3N2 China origin 500,000–2 million deaths
Swine flu 2009–2010 H1N1 Mexico origin Up to 575,000 deaths
Source: Patrick R. Saunders-Hastings, Daniel Krewski, Pathogens. 2016 Dec
    2. Coronaviruses: According to CAS Key Laboratory of Special Pathogens and Biosafety, Wuhan Institute of Virology, China , ‘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) are two highly transmissible and pathogenic viruses that emerged in humans at the beginning of the 21st century. Both viruses likely originated in bats.’ (Cui J, Li F, Shi ZL. Nat Rev Microbiol. 2019 Mar). Videos of people consuming bats and other rodents were circulated across social media the world over just before the outbreak of the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic in Jan 2020 and scientists concur it is likely due to wildlife trade of bats and other ‘exotic species’ sold for consumption openly. Once the virus infiltratesd humans it spread the world over through social contact.
    3. Ebola: ‘Ebola virus is one of the most deadly pathogens known to infect humans’ as per research reports. ‘The first recognized Ebola outbreak occurred in 1976, near the Ebola River in Zaire (now Democratic Republic of Congo, DRC). Over the past 40 years, more than 20 outbreaks have occurred in Africa. EVD is a zoonotic disease, but its natural animal reservoir remains unknown. Several species of small animals have been implicated as reservoirs. Human infection can also occur through contact with wild animals, such as by hunting, butchering or preparing meat from infected animals. Transmission to household contacts is associated with close contact with sick patients, their body fluids or their remains. (Athena P. Kourtis, Kristie Appelgren, Michelle S. Chevalier, Anita McElroy, Pediatr Infect Dis J,
    4. Bacterial Infections: A well researched study on Animal Sources of E-coli illiustrates the potential hazards of beef, hamburgers and contaminated meat, salami or other animal products such as dairy and animal hide and even vegetables such as spinach that are in contact with manure, leading to spread of  Enterohemorrhagic escherichia coli (EHEC) with devastating or life-threatening systemic manifestations. (Witold A. Ferens, Carolyn J. Hovde, Foodborne Pathog Dis. 2011 Apr). Another manuscript on food borne diseases reviews the evidence that links animals as vehicles of the foodborne pathogens Salmonella, Campylobacter, Shiga toxigenic E. coli, and L. monocytogenes, their impact, and their current status. Researchers conclude that these pathogenic bacteria will continue causing outbreaks and deaths throughout the world, because no effective interventions have eliminated them from animals and food. (Norma Heredia, Santos García, Anim Nutr. 2018 Sep; 4)
    5. Bovine Leukemia Virus: Latest research has indicated ‘Bovine leukemia virus (BLV) infection is widespread in cattle globally and is present in marketed beef and dairy products. Human infection with BLV has been reported in breast and lung cancer tissues and was significantly associated with breast cancer in 3 case-control studies. Also, system wide circulation of infected blood cells could facilitate BLV transit to various internal tissues/organs with potential for their infection and subsequent development of cancer. The most likely route of BLV transmission to humans would be zoonotic, as a foodborne infection.’ (Buehring, G.C., DeLaney, A., Shen, H. et al. Bovine leukemia virus discovered in human blood. BMC Infect Dis 19, 297, 2019)
    6. Ovarian Cancer: A research on 61,084 women aged 38-76 in a Swedish Mammography Cohort revealed women who consumed more than or equal to 4 servings of total dairy products doubled the risk of serous ovarian cancer. Milk was the dairy product with the strongest positive association with serous ovarian cancer rate ratio doubling with more than one glass of milk compared with consuming milk never or seldom. (Larsson SC, Bergkvist L, Wolk A. Milk and lactose intakes and ovarian cancer risk in the Swedish Mammography Cohort. Am J Clin Nutr. 2004 Nov;80(5):1353-7. PubMed PMID: 15531686)
    7. Breast Cancer: Analysis of global research shows egg consumption was associated with increased breast cancer risk among the European, Asian and postmenopausal population and those who consumed two to five eggs a week. (Si R, Qu K, Jiang Z, Yang X, Gao P. Egg consumption and breast cancer risk: a meta-analysis. Breast Cancer. 2014 May). Dairy milk due to sex hormone content (70% of dairy cows are pregnant), and likely ability to raise levels of insulin-like growth factor-1 were tested for links with breast cancer hypothesis in the Adventist Health Study-2 (AHS-2) cohort n 2019. The research noted steeper rises in breast cancer risk at intakes of dairy milk up to ¾ cup per day. Researchers concluded that dairy milk consumption is clearly associated with risk of breast cancer after adjusting for soy intake and those at higher risk of breast cancer may gain advantage by limiting milk intake and considering dairy substitutes. (Fraser G, Miles F, Orlich M, Jaceldo-Siegl K, Mashchak A. Dairy Milk Is Associated with Increased Risk of Breast Cancer in the Adventist Health Study-2 (AHS-2) Cohort (P05-026-19). Curr Dev Nutr. 2019 Published 2019 Jun 13)
    8. Prostrate Cancer: In a study on 27,607 men followed from 1997 to 2008 it was found that those who consumed 2.5 or more eggs per week had an 81% increased risk of lethal prostate cancer compared with men who consumed less than 0.5 eggs per week. (Erin L. RichmanStacey A. KenfieldMeir J. StampferEdward L. Giovannucci and June M. Chan, Cancer Prev Res Trials on physicians in U.S. found that those consuming more than 2.5 servings of dairy had 32% higher risk of prostate cancer. (Chan JM, Stampfer MJ, Ma J, Gann PH, Gaziano JM, Giovannucci EL. Dairy products, calcium, and prostate cancer risk in the Physicians’ Health Study. Am J Clin Nutr. 2001). Red meat intake was associated with an increased risk for all prostate cancer while red meat, processed meat, heme iron, nitrite/nitrate from meat, grilled/barbecued meat, and were associated with elevated risks of advanced prostate cancer in a large cohort study of 175343 U.S. men with a 9 year follow up. (Rashmi Sinha, Yikyung Park, Barry I. Graubard, Michael F. Leitzmann, Albert Hollenbeck, Arthur Schatzkin, Amanda J. Cross, Am J Epidemiol. 2009 Nov 1)
    9. Lung Cancer: In a research on 22,788 individuals in Sweden with lactose intolerance, risks of lung, breast and ovarian cancers were significantly lesser in those who avoided dairy. (Ji J, Sundquist J, Sundquist K. Lactose intolerance and risk of lung, breast and ovarian cancers: aetiological clues from a population-based study in Sweden. Br J Cancer. 2015 Jan 6)
    10. Colorectoral Cancer: According to an analysis of 13 studies, daily increase of 100g (one portion) of all meat or red meat is associated with a significant 12-17% increased risk of CRC (average RR is 1.17 with 95% CI of 1.05-1.31 for the random-effects model). A significant 49% increased risk was also found for a daily increase of 25 g of processed meat (about one slice). (Sandhu MS, White IR, McPherson K. Systematic review of the prospective cohort studies on meat consumption and colorectal cancer risk: a meta-analytical approach. Cancer Epidemiol Biomarkers Prev. 2001 May). Research updates of 2018 with an examination of multiple studies across the world confirming association between red and processed meat-colorectal cancer risk. (Benarba B. Red and processed meat and risk of colorectal cancer: an update. EXCLI J. 2018;17:792–797. Published 2018 Aug 8)
    11. Thyroid Cancer:  Data from more than 290,000 participants with ten years of follow up in a U.S. research ascertained that adolescent intakes of chicken/turkey and canned tuna was associated with increased risk of thyroid cancer in later years. (Melissa Z. Braganza, Nancy Potischman, Yikyung Park, Frances E. Thompson, Albert R. Hollenbeck, Cari M. Kitahara, Int J Cancer. . In a case controlled study in Kuwait, high consumption of processed fish products, fresh fish and chicken were independently associated with thyroid cancer with significant dose-response relationships. (Memon A, Varghese A, Suresh A. Benign thyroid disease and dietary factors in thyroid cancer: a case-control study in Kuwait. Br J Cancer. 2002 Jun 5)
    12. Thyroid Dysfunctions: Grave’s disease is a important cause of hyperthyroidism. In a study of 69,581 Adventist church members in U.S. and Canada, it was found that exclusion of all animal foods was associated with half the prevalence of hyperthyroidism compared with omnivorous diets. (Serena Tonstad, Edward Nathan, Keiji Oda, Gary E Fraser, Public Health Nutr. Also as per this analysis of adventist research, Vegan versus omnivorous diets tended to be associated with reduced risk while a lacto-ovo diet was associated with increased risk of hypothyroidism. (Serena Tonstad, Edward Nathan, Keiji Oda, Gary Fraser, Nutrients. 2013 Nov; 5)
    13. Chronic Cough and Phlegm: A population-based cohort study of 63,257 middle-aged Chinese men and women in Singapore with to ascertain relation between dietary intake at baseline and new onset of cough with phlegm. Findings were that a diet high in fiber from fruit and, possibly, soyfoods may reduce the incidence of chronic respiratory symptoms possibly due to flavonoids in plant based food. (Butler LM, Koh WP, Lee HP, Yu MC, London SJ. Dietary fiber and reduced cough with phlegm: a cohort study in Singapore. Am J Respir Crit Care Med. 2004 Aug)
    14. Allergic Rhinitis and Sinus: Research in chronic sinsusitis and nasal polyps has concluded that cow’s milk but not wheat allergy might be a relevant pathogenetic entity. (Lill C, Loader B, Seemann R, Zumtobel M, Brunner M, Heiduschka G, Thurnher D. Milk allergy is frequent in patients with chronic sinusitis and nasal polyposis. Am J Rhinol Allergy. 2011 Nov-Dec). In a blinded trial of 108 NHS patients in Hertfordshire, UK, a dairy-free diet was associated with a significant reduction in self-reported levels of nasopharyngeal secretions in adults who previously complained of persistent nasopharyngeal mucus hypersecretion. (Frosh A, Cruz C, Wellsted D, Stephens J. Effect of a dairy diet on nasopharyngeal mucus secretion. Laryngoscope. 2019 Jan)
    15. Asthma: Multiple Research on diet and asthma indicates dietary patterns, such as the Western diet of highly processed foods, resulting in high intakes of refined grains, processed and red meats, desserts and sweets, fried foods, and high-fat dairy products have pro-inflammatory effects. On the contrary high intake of fruits and vegetables has anti-inflammatory properties. (Laurent Guilleminault, Evan J. Williams, Hayley A. Scott, Bronwyn S. Berthon, Megan Jensen, Lisa G. Wood, Nutrients. 2017 Nov).
    16. Respiratory Diseases in Animal Farms: Research reports since the late 1990s, there has been knowledge of multiple respiratory diseases associated with working in animal confinement environments including rhinitis, chronic bronchitis, COPD, asthma, asthma-like, ODTS, and hypersensitivity pneumonia. Large animal farming is a strong risk factor toward the development of occupational asthma diseases. (Sara May, Debra J. Romberger, Jill A. Poole, J Toxicol Environ Health B Crit Rev.
    17. Coronary Ailments: Compelling data from nutritional studies, population surveys, and interventional studies support the effectiveness of a plant-based diet and aggressive lipid lowering to arrest, prevent, and selectively reverse heart disease. (Esselstyn CB Jr. Resolving the Coronary Artery Disease Epidemic Through Plant-Based Nutrition. Prev Cardiol. 2001). On the contrary research findings suggest that neither unprocessed red nor processed meat consumption is beneficial for cardiometabolic health, and that clinical and public health guidance should especially prioritize reducing processed meat consumption. (Renata Micha, Georgios Michas, Dariush Mozaffarian, Curr Atheroscler Rep.
    18. Diabetes: According to research on diet and diabetes, there is evidence that a vegan diet has the most benefits for reducing the fasting plasma glucose levels of persons with diabetes and other complications, such as CVD (Cardio Vascular Disease) risk. (Melissa D. Olfert, Rachel A. Wattick, Curr Diab Rep. 2018; 18(11): 101. Published online 2018 Sep 18). However research on more than 124000 patients  in U.S.has also concluded red meat consumption, particularly processed red meat, is associated with an increased risk of T2D (Type 2 Diabetes)
    19. Arthiritis: Multiple researches on a variety of diets have been quoted to declare that a vegan diet is clinically beneficial for disease remission in RA (rheumatoid arthiritis) patients. Fasting followed by vegan diet or vegan diet alone can potentially reduce symptoms and disease activity in RA patients independent of changes in intestinal microflora. Improvements observed can be attributed to reduced exposure to potential antigens contributed by the omnivorous diet of RA patients. (Shweta Khanna, Kumar Sagar Jaiswal, Bhawna Gupta, Front Nutr. 2017; 4: 52. Published online 2017 Nov 8)
    20. Osteoporosis: In a 12-year prospective study among 77761 women, aged 34 through 59 years who had never used calcium supplements, found no evidence that higher intakes of milk or calcium from food sources reduce fracture incidence. (Feskanich D, Willett WC, Stampfer MJ, Colditz GA. Milk, dietary calcium, and bone fractures in women: a 12-year prospective study. Am J Public Health. 1997 Jun)

  • Seven Human Lies Regarding Plants vs Animals

Seven Human Lies Regarding Plants vs Animals

For very strange reasons we have been taught massive lies since our childhood and all the way even as we grow up, we defend such lies by arguing against any new information and against our inherent common sense. This is especially true of arguments around our eating habits and sentience of plants versus animals. Should we continue to justify the mistakes of our ancestors and the system that insists we comply with what we are taught in schools or by parents? Or should we start thinking for ourselves and questioning those beliefs in a sincere way?

    1. Humans are Omnivores: Teachers receive training to advocate misinformation in schools, misinformaton that has been passed down for several centuries even though contrary to Darwin’s model of evolution. If we look at scientific evidence, it becomes clear that we resemble frugivores and apes in our appearance and genetic structure, e.g. teeth, digestive tract, body shape (refer to chart below). Is it really so hard to believe that we are designed to be frugivore more than anything else? Then how did the concept of Omnivorism get into our system? Omnivores in their wild state, such as badgers, opossums, skunks, bears and foxes hunt and eat the flesh of their prey without cooking, just as carnivores do. Humans on the other hand, conveniently commodify and factory farm animals and the ‘kill’ process is largely conducted privately without the consumer’s  intention or involvement, making them unaware of the emotions associated with the grotesque ‘process’. Humans also need to clean and cook the animal body parts before consuming them. Clearly this diet or lifestyle is not part of the ‘cycle of life’ and not what nature intended originally, but something Humans ‘chose’ or were fooled into following, against nature and against their own good judgement, thereby inviting deadly diseases and social disorders of violence that have curiously become acceptable in the matrix of society.

    2. Plants are living too so eating plants is as bad as killing or exploiting animals: In truth plants do not ‘die’ for us to harvest their fruits and leaves…they are resilient and grow more if trimmed or harvested just like our hair. Secondly they don’t have nervous systems or pain receptors although they respond to physical input in an automatic way, thanks to the chemical process that help them sense stimuli. If you believe that harvesting carrots is painful to them, because plants sensing movement or responding to light and water is an evidence of sentience, then perhaps our motion detector gadgets,  thermometers, biosensers and fire alarms are sentient beings that feel pain too! Can you imagine how ridiculous our conditioning is? Animals however clearly exhibit pain due to nerve endings and respond by running away from danger. They also feel fear, pain, joy and sorrow, as they display emotions. Farm animals suffer from a reduced life span as well as lose their life if turned to food, quite unlike plants or fruits who simply grow back onto the plant. We certainly do not uproot and kill trees when we take an apple from it, however we need to kill the animal entirely to consume their meat. If vegetarian, we cause massive harm by breeding and exploiting birds and mammals, abusing the females sexually and consuming off their abused bodies which ultimately are slaughtered for meat after all that violent abuse, even as their males counterparts are incarcerated shortly after birth as they are useless to the industries. And lastly even if we believe that plants might feel pain, animals bred or slaughtered or exploited for food would intake a lot more plants to feed humans and wo.uld also consume significantly more resources such as land and water, and therefore we cause a lot more plant ‘mutilation’ or ‘death’ when we consume animal products than if we directly consumed plant produce. But arguments aside, even a child can tell us that chopping cucumber and chopping heads off animals feels very different. Infact if sensible parents do not wish to show graphic bloodshed and exploitation of animal agriculture to their sensitive children, it is even more important that they should not deceptively feed them animal products which are always the result of graphic exploitation, thereby ruining the moral, mental and physical health of children.

    3. Animals are meant to be eaten as our ancestors were hunters (pagans) and/ OR God put us here to rule the planet (book religion): Truth is our ancestors did a lot of wrong things, killing was one of them..hence we evolve not regress. Even hunter-gatherers are mistakenly believed to be primarily animal killers, when truth is hunting can mean ‘searching’ for something you need and does not necessarily reflect a desire to kill. Our ancestors as hunter gatherers often foraged for plant foods and other items they needed and might have built thier instruments for carving, art and craft, instead of merely for taking a life, except in self-defense in the wild ancient world. In any case we have now evolved to a massive extent and need no longer depend on rudimentary and brazen violence, regardless of ancient or spiritual traditions of nomadic, native or pagan tribes. If you don’t believe in evolution and think some God put us in ‘hell’ to help us rule over it..that sounds more like a devilish character turning us to demons by bringing us down from the plant-food world designed initially in the sixth day of creation as per book-based religious theorms. These Biblical texts clarify that the first ‘matrix’ was designed as a frugivore paradise or Eden and only after humanity’s deception, were we placed in a new matrix where suddenly the evil of slaughter was allowed after the creator destroyed earth on account of man’s evil nature. We have imposed our will upon the planet for a long time based on our belief that our ancestors and religious books teach us the right things about human superiority and it is time to step down from our ‘high chair’ of human ego that assumes we were created to rule the world and do as we will to other creature we consider ‘lowly’ or less ‘intelligent’. Even children may not be as intelligent as adults, therefore the ‘intelligent species’ argument does not justify our mistreatment or commodification of other animals, leave alone sexual abuse or killing which is what we are doing to innocent children of earth.

    Ego-logical_VS_Eco-logical

    4. We are supposed to be kind and compassionate to our own kind: Talking of human to human kindness, and human suffering in response to information about animal sentience and suffering is ignoble. Would you start arguing why activists who campaign for women’s rights or children’s rights do so when there are so many other issues to promote, and would you accuse them of not focusing solely on environment or economy instead of their chosen cause? So why do we get angry with animal right activists for campaigning for animal rights and liberty, unless it is strictly about pet dogs or cats and not farm animals whom we believe were ‘made for us’? Is fighting against animal rights advocacy, a sign of true compassion or merely a sign of hate and ego?  And why do we ask campaigners of animal liberation to ‘tone their campaigns down’, ‘suppress the evidence of graphic violence by not showing it’, ‘fitting into society’, ‘refraining from questioning beliefs or traditions’ and allow people to carry on participating in violence even as trillions of animals suffer and die constantly? Our belief that we should be nice to all people around us and be agreeable to all is a misplaced notion that agreements are a sign of love. Infact helping someone realize the truth and adopt a healthier, more affordable, more sustainable and less gross lifestyle is a sign of kindness and compassion to the human we are dealing with. At the same time we end up ensuring that we are not being biased towards our own species in vain disregard to the other millions we share this planet with.

    5. We can kill humanely: Is it possible to kill someone kindly? In case killing is humane would you like yourself to experience the humaneness of ‘domestic abuse’ and meaningless slaughter that farm animals are routinely and forceably subject to? If you think free-range is better, would you feel happy being shot into your head (baby calves), being bludgeoned to death on your head as an infant (piglets), or about being gassed alived in a packed gas chamber with other inmates (pigs and chicken), macerated alive soon after birth (egg industry hatchlings) or being killed with a massive slit to your throat (cows including pregnant cows with their unborn babies), because these are approved practices as per legal standards? Slaughterhouses claiming to be humane have been filmed and it is clear that animals are slithering and shaking in pain – moving their legs desperately till their last breath. Even if this was not the case and somehow the animal died totally painlessly, does it mean it is not violence or that a life was not taken unnecessarily against will from the victim? Would we humanely kill humans too as you say humane killing is good, if we can ensure they had a good life in free range organic farms. Even Jeffrey Dahmer the notorius serial killer treated his victims well before rape and slaughter and consumed their flesh. If this is wrong, why do we have double standards in our treatment of humans versus animals? If you would not want it done to yourself why support this crime against others just because they are do not share overt semblence to humans? The only reason is specieism which is an extension of racism and therefore a digression from spirituality.

    6. We need to kill to survive: The theorem behind ‘survival of the fittest’ has led us to believe that the more dominant we are on earth, the more likely we are survive, especially in adverse situations owing to lack of food. Truth is we are not on a desert island dying of shortage of plant food or defending ourselves from danger in the wild. Even if we were in those hypothetical situations, our instincts are not to kill but to escape. No-one sees an innocent animal and actually wants to kill . We do not have the urge to pounce on every moving being and crush them with out teeth and hands the way carnivorous creatures are programmed to. Our first reaction when we see a beautiful rabbit or bird is to admire their beauty and feel a connection. If there are some people going around on a hunting or killing spree by thinking that posing with the dead bodies of our victims make us look cool, it is all because of our mental training by the matrix that promotes sex, consumerism, fashion, power, money and humanism as values over universal kindness to all beings, and at the cost of our physical, emotional and spiritual health. Not only that, if the world went vegan, we would save humanity from extinction, counteract climate change, solve the problem of world hunger and food shortage, free up massive amounts of land and consume much less water, while improving the overall consciousness and sense of ethics in the world. Instead of killing we would grow food. Thus not only would we survive, but thrive, and so would the planet.

    7. Vegan and Plant Based Lifestyle is challenging or lacks nutrition: Whether for commercial, nutritional or convenience based presuppositions, we have seen resistances still being imposed on the average mind of humankind. We may fear that there will be commercial loss to existing businesses that depend on animal agriculture and feel bad for the exploiters and murderers who abuse animals. In truth these professionals can simply change what they are doing and be even more profitable if they have the will to do it and are guided clearly on how to. Most people buy into the myth that vegans lack in dietary nutritients which is due to a failure of our education system because we can clearly see that the strongest and healthiest animals are complete herbivores and frugivores, such as rhinos, elephants, whales, bulls and chimpanzees. The only argument people restate is that of Vitamin B12 which is derived from soil and the only reason both vegans and non vegans can be deficient in the same, is that we do not these days routinely consume organic vegetables straight from soil. Therefore farm animals are injected with or fed supplements of B12 just as plant foods are supplemented or fortified for us. Consuming rice, lentils, flour, vegetables and fruits is not only nutritiously rich, but also also cheaper and super convenient for every one of us, with the added health benefit of whole foods as compared to processed foods.
